Because i really want monk dk DH and evoker to also get a rank 14 set.

if they did this, it would only be available for people who earned the 1800 RBG rating achieve.
Which isn’t hard to do with the new rbg duo/solo shuffle que thing.

they wouldn’t update the looks of gear that requires a certain rating and then just hand it out to everyone for free.
BFA Warfront sets are basically already that. Different models but the same sort of style.
It’s always been weird to me how that specific set is behind a rating requirement while all the other ancient normal PvP sets aren’t.
well these pvp sets were the original ELITE PVP sets. the first pvp sets that required a specific battleground ranking.
to uphold that integrity, blizzard requires us to get knight-captain in RBGs (which is the lowest rank required to buy one of the pieces).
we should just be happy that we don’t need 2400 (grand marshall) to get the weapons
and 2300 (field marshall) to get the last pieces of the sets.
They’re pretty much the only PvP set you mean.
There’s stuff like the 3 piece from AB, some bits and bobs from AV, WSG, but as far as actual sets go it’s all there is.
Tier 2 for Hunters is trash, and HD Trash doesn’t change that fact lmao. It’s still an ugly purple and orange dragonsuit.
Some are classes are eating much better than others, like Paladins (duh), Rogues, Warriors.
If they re-did the Classic PvP sets, I’d be way more interested.

They’re updating gear that required specific bosses to clear, and basically giving it out for free.
So yes, they can and could.
I mean the could remove the trivial 1800 requirement along with adding an HD version of the sets.
Kinda but not exactly, some of them are very close homage to the rank 13 sets while others aren’t.
I want a true HD version of the sets and a class varation again of them.
The only change i’d ask for “besides the new classes getting versions of them” is Warrior get the blue version of the set and not the epic version.
That would have been a nice reward for the pvp side of the event.
I have to say that monk set is all kinds of awesome.
The evoker set is a bit dull, I remember them saying that they’ll make shoulder pads look great for Evokers because of their limited tmog options.
The helm is good, yet we cannot see it.
The shoulders and belt are bland, yet that’s all we can see?
blizzard has been very clear that they will never give out elite pvp gear for free.
The vanilla pvp set is not an “elite” armor set you can get it any season all the time.
it is an elite pvp set - it requires 1800 RBG rating, same as the current elite pvp sets require.
the only difference is that it is an “evergreen” elite set that you can obtain every season.
if you want the set, just get 1800 in RBG…
there’s the new solo-queue RBG this season, just do it with that.

It’s not an elite set it doesn’t have an elite sub text next to it like Elite sets do.
it is just a vanilla pvp set.
Also when it became able to be earned the first time in rbgs. Elite sets where above 2k cr even.
So even then it wasn’t considered elite.
