IDK if it is because of the code. But HUGE missed opportunity to make HC battlegrounds be 1 life per BG. That would have been incredibly fun.
I hope Blizz is starting to get a better idea of what is good to add to classic and what isn’t with dual spec coming in (Which I think is a good idea if implemented well).
Nobody would play HC battle grounds to even get them to queue, and you simply can’t let HC into a non HC battlegrounds since the HC players would die almost immediately causing one side to lose.
Your asking for their to be non HC battle grounds where deaths aren’t real, thats not what HC is, all deaths would have to be final.
Hardcore bgs exist. It’s called warzones, I think. People have to explicitly queue with the groups they want to play with. So you can’t just twink out to grief randoms.
Terible to have fake deaths in a hardcore game. Naw.
I wouldn’t trust Blizzard to not accidently glitch it and make it to where those HC deaths were permanent or create an accident to where the codes from the HC BGs accidently got out into regular HC and then some HC players have infinite lives. It’s like in so many video games back in the past. You had just one life.
Or like you CAN die from duels if you accidentally aggro a critter, that hits you for that one HP after the duel ends

they could let us do bgs with 0 xp and 0 rewards just for fun and not counting towards perma death.
why would you want BGs but not permadeath in them???

we have those in non-HC servers. I am asking in the context of HC. If you want to paly casual mode, they have those servers for you.
But … even if I am as far from a PvP player you’ll ever find, I see the fun of a BG for some - maybe even most players - and I understand people missing this in the HC environment. What would it harm to have “for fun” BG’s in HC, where you did not die, but only fainted until revived?

That currently exists in HC, it’s called a Wargame, you can initiate a Wargame if you have enough players in two groups and use the macro.
Duels are in the game. Those are basically fake deaths. If you don’t want to play 1 life bgs you don’t have to.
HC battleground = stv arena XD
they could let us have bg queues for fun only, no death but no rewards or xp as well, just for fun.
i am sure that will make it to the top of the list of things to work on.
