Havoc's low skill ceiling feels bad

Maybe it’s a me issue, but I feel like Havoc’s low skill ceiling makes the spec feel bad to invest time into. When you look at specs like Sub and WW, it seems like their is always some new tech or setup to learn.

On demand healing vs leech also feels restricting. When compared to sub and WW, they can use LOS/Pillers to top themselves off and reengage. With leech, you need to mongo and stay topped off. LOS’ing does not feel beneficial, other than to avoid a spellcast and then reengage.

I believe UBC was a step in the right direction, because it allowed you to play mindgames and setup a burst. It’s depressing to see this ability was changed and the skill ceiling of it basically removed.

Removal of Blade Dance dodge also feels bad for the same reason. I understand why it was necessary, but it was also great to intentionally blade dance as an on demand dodge.

Neither WW nor Sub are hard to play either lol

But blade dance was a rotational ability. It has been for an entire expansion. If you want blade dance for the dodge, it shouldn’t be something you press off cd for damage.

Otherwise I agree with your post, to an extent. Mortal rush being an honor talent increase the skill cap in pvp. Losing passive defensive utility will stop a lot of the negative external community perception of the havoc dh skill level because you can’t mongo offensively.

With the nerf’s dh has suffered, people won’t meme about a highly-ranked dh in shadowlands the way they would in BFA (particularly season 4)
