I like both classes fast paced, pain train with no brakes style of play. But I’m having a hard time choosing which one to play first.
I’m planning on doing a slow paced lore master run with the chars one for both factions so how how they play in end game or PvP don’t matter to me.
Lore? Havoc. Demon Hunters have alot of history and lore behind them, as well as an entire expansion almost centered around the Illidari.
As for doing a Loremaster run, bless your heart btw, I’d say that Havoc has a more interesting playstyle than Fury although both are fairly similar. Biased for DH.
There’s the novel by William King “Illidan: World of Warcraft” that I would recommend.
I’m not sure about which novel would best cover the relevant lore for things before the burning crusade though.

Wait will DH talents are revealed Tuesday and you’ll have enough information to make an informed decision then.
Based off Shadowlands though the answer is Fury since it’s the objectively better spec based on having a real gameplay loop and solid design.
Pretty much this. We have very little idea what DH is going to look like in DF atm. Will know more this coming week.
If there’s a chance at tanking havoc/veng. Veng is so much cooler than prot. If tanking isn’t your thing, hard pressed to not go fury with dual wielding big huge weapons. Glaives are cool but mogs are limited and you can’t get the cool ones from legion anymore.
Mage tower is open and you can still unlock the legion ones by doing the achievements and quest lines
So here is my two cents. As stated Fury is a warrior that can dw 2h weapons or 1h weapons now that single minded fury is back. I haven’t played warrior other than leveling. And doing wq and what not. I will say I find tanking on a dh more fun than warrior so if your ever going to tank there is that info.
Dh has much more lore and fun about it and as a dh you get a weapon no one else can use. Also as a dh you can transmog Illidans weapons from bc once you get them and do the bt raid when the time walking is back for bc. No other class can transmog those glaives. With the mage tower back and the fact that you can still unlock the legion appearances by doing the achievements and quest lines yea you can still get those appearances.
i thought you cant get the mage tower appearances with the new mage tower, its just the armor
