New to Demon hunters. What does everyone use for their keybinds? Yes I know I am posting on my mage but I just use one of my oldest toons.
Are you actually asking what buttons people press on their keyboards? May i suggest 1 through 5 to begin with? Keep your wasd clear because you use those to move.
Was asking what buttons they assign for the various abilities. Last time I checked it takes more then 5 and yes I know the not use WASD. Just wanted to get a idea what others have used.
Id suggest u get a mouse with at least 6 side buttons, with new havoc i had to buy a mouse with 12 side ones, makes ur day better when u play.
Done that tryied that before, Have not found a mouse with that many buttons that works with my big fingers.

Not all of these are actively talented; I keep them assigned so that my muscle memory persists when swapping talents.
I use a Razer Naga Pro gaming mouse. I keybind most of my moves to the many buttons on the side of my mouse. This way, I have much faster response time, then someone that has to mash keyboard buttons. I never have to move my hand from the mouse and after a while, the buttons become muscle memory.
Am the only one that uses F1-F4 as part of my main rotation of keys?
If you play multiple characters, the main thing I’d recommend is putting like-for-like abilities on the same keys. Keep the interrupt on the same key for each character, same for stuns, slows, aoe, dashes, etc. I try to stick to this mentality when playing new classes, can’t always keep it that way though.
Loosely speaking, I use 1-5 for the main filler spells (5 being Glide in this instance), and F, G, X, C, mouse4, mouse5, with shift/ctrl/alt modifiers. For the mouse buttons the forward facing buttons tend to be offensive, and the back ones being defensive.
That’s good advice. Why do you have glide bound though? You can just hit spacebar.
I like being able to glide without double jumping. Also probably that my brain is stuck with space = jump and glide != jump.
Dont use S, back pedal is death.
I have pretty big hands and what works for me is a naga pro w/ the 6 panel.
6 buttons is plenty for the majority of most specs’ rotational abilities. That frees your high value keyboard keys for time sensitive stuff (interrupts, defensives, etc)
That’s only true for PvP.
For PvE it’s essential, especially if you tank. You need fine control over your position without having to turn. Turning can cost uptime for a DPS or show your back if you’re tanking.
+1 to this.
Mine are roughly:
1-5: main damage/builders
6 = fishing
S1-S5 = spenders (typically this results in only pressing up to S3 on most toons)
Mouse4 = charge/move forward fastly (fel rush for DH)
Mouse5/SM5 = interrupts
Q/SQ = incapacitates/ roots/snares
E/SE/R/SR = offensive cooldowns
T = Taunt
H/SH = heals
G/SH = other cooldowns (for DK, I use death grip, as in ‘GET OVER HERE’)
Z-V (shifts as well) = defensives
I do use ` for my mount/dragonflying, and alt+a,w,f for various racials/non-combat abilities like waterwalking.
