Having trouble reinstalling

So Here’s my problem

For many reason i was away from WoW and now i would like to gt back. However it seems that my Blizzard games are corrupted somehow. Each game i have its asking me to reinstall (i did have some PC issues months ago but they were resolved )

However whenever i go to install from the launcher the progress screen seems to be stuck at 'Estimating size" and never seems to progress the little circling “blizzard cursor” goes around and around . At the same he “Install” button is clickable but when i click it , the same thing happens little “blizz cursor” circles around but no dpwnload happens and no progress.

So i went into “C:\Program Files (x86) - world of warcraft - classic” where all my Blizz games are and they still seems to be there and i can launch WoW Classic from the application but not from the launcher.

So it seems that the launcher doesnt know or cant recognize the games i have and im not sure how to rectify this

Any help would be much appreciated.

Let’s reinstall the Launcher here Pointytusks:

Let’s reinstall the Battle.net - a clean uninstall - reinstall.

  1. Uninstall the Blizzard app

Step 5 must be completed - delete the Battle.net folder

  1. Next open these folder locations. Delete any Battle.net, Blizzard, and/or Blizzard Entertainment folders.

(Press Windows Key + R and type or copy/paste each of these lines in the Run box separately. Click “OK” afterwards.)

%LOCALAPPDATA%
%APPDATA%
%TEMP%
%PROGRAMDATA%

  1. Then go ahead and reinstall the app from here:

Afterwards right click the desktop icon then select “Run as Administrator”

Well i tried everything you mentioned and i got this

Error Code: BLZBNTAGT000008FC

  • So i tried turning off windows defender

  • no luck

  • restarting then ensuring Window Defender was off

  • no luck

  • Battlnet is already uninstalled , its why im trying to reinstall it

  • So i tried to reset whatever the VMI thing is

  • got the CMD’ prompt with the first command entered

  • got access denied ( yes its my pc)

I dont mind telling you this is incredibly incredibly frustrating. All i want to do play games which are already on my PC and i end going down this godawful rabbithole

Anyways hopefully you can help

You have to run the Cmd prompt as admin (right-click).

Hi again Pointytusks

Type Command in Windows search box. Command Prompt should pop up on right column. Look for “Run as Administrator”. Click that will open a Command Prompt with Admin privileges. Then run those commands. One at a time - hit enter key after each to run
