Hi!
So this is my first Restoration Druid here and I’ve been having an amazing time playing so far. But I am worried because I’m having some trouble keeping up with the tanks health… it’s like I feel I don’t have a big spell to keep up when tanks health drops down quickly.
I notice a huge difference between the tanks I’m healing and their own knowledge of their role and it makes a big difference often! But even when they pull a lot and do their thing their health can drop very quickly anyways because it’s just how dungeons go sometimes.
Those moments can feel rough
and honestly it makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong. But it’s like I have all of my HoTs up on the tank and spamming regrowth while swiftmend is in cd and it’s doing nothing.
Not sure if maybe it’s me, or the class or maybe it’s my level? Do I just not have my big heals yet or something? Does it get better?
I love this Druid but it’s a little draining to feel like I’m having a hard time keeping the tank up every dungeon. When the tank doesn’t use cds (because we are sort of low level and maybe they just don’t know what they are doing yet) I don’t get mad about it but I do get upset I cannot make up for it at all! or a tank that knows what they are doing but pulls a little fast or a extra group and it’s back to being hard to keep them up again.
Is it always like this on a Druid? Are they that reliant on how well the tank can play? I just feel like I could do a better job of making up for things as a Holy Priest although I like Druid playstyle way way more.
You have 5% mastery as per profile at this moment. You need WAY more.

Okay so mastery will help then, normally I don’t worry too much about stats while leveling lol but I am willing to look and see if there are some enchants or something to help that while I do dungeons if it will make it a little easier. Thank you.
You don’t unlock your mastery trait until level 78 I believe.
Replace your 15 talent with Cenarion Ward. The 75/90/100 talents do help a lot when you get there. Make sure lifebloom is on the tank, let it bloom if he’s taking a ton of damage. Use Ironbark on the tank during heavy damage. Make sure he has a rejuv, put a Efflorescence under him, spam regrowth and swiftmend when you can.
If he dies through all that then he pulled to much, they/you need better gear, or the tank isn’t using his own CDs properly.

Mastery doesn’t do anything until you unlock it at level 78. It will help a lot and so will your other talents.
It’s normal for all healers to struggle while leveling, it’s a combination of both tanks and healers being much weaker than they will be at 120.
If you’re having issues healing, just ask the tank to slow down or have him start using cooldowns. It gets a lot better later, you’ll be able to spend a lot of time in cat form doing damage.

Just want to mention, LB will Bloom if you refresh it with 5 sec or less so you don’t have to let it drop.

Also it feels good having it on a different cool down. I try go keep them on kinda opposite cds to each other so something is always up or coming up soon.
Ward stacks mastery, which means it amplifies all your other healing too. It can also be put up between pulls and refreshed early into the pull.
