Having to switch between static and dynamic flight is a pain in the back side!

I’d really like the option to keep some mounts as old flying. I have issues with coordination due to a minor disability, and love the option of hopping on my old style flying mounts to be more precise because I sometimes struggle with being accurate on the skyriding mounts. It’s not a game breaker for me, but the option would be nice.

Not all mounts will have skyriding enabled so you can technically do it with one that does and one that doesn’t.

No, unfortunately while you have skyriding turned on if you use a mount that doesn’t have that enabled it’s grounded until you switch back to static.

I’ll have to take your word for it for now, but are you sure that’s not just you having not unlocked static flying in the new zones on beta?

They need to add a button on the sky riding action bar that switches from dynamic to atatic flying…

I say require it be done on the ground before taking off and leave the action bar up but gray out thedynamic action buttons

If the person wants to go back to dynamic they land and press the button again to revert back

If it’s not, I’ll be quite happy to hear it since I’d much rather just have a dedicated static mount than have to bother with the toggle.

I just tested it to be sure. Open Spellbook go to General tab then click the arrow to expand Skyriding and drag Switch Flight Style to whatever bar you want.

I was unable to move the button to an action bar! So to switch I had to open the mount panel every time I wanted to switch, which for me was every time I used Dynamic Flying as I only use it to cover long distances. For all other local flying, I use Static mounts.

And many of us want to know why we can’t have normal flying in TWW seeing that TWW isn’t about dragons now…so why no normal flight again …and its Pathfindered to get normal flying again …

Ok! I was trying to drag the button from the mount panel like you do the Favorites button! I didn’t look in the spell book as it was always the mount panel for mounting things before.

I just tested on the Beta with the Golden Dicus in Valdrakken. It’s working exactly like you as in your first post.

It’s a good thing you aren’t a game developer then. You’d make a tiny game that lasts about a year.
