Having giant procs appear on your screen as frost that you fully ignore is bad design

Do devs even read the forums… Like how is this ok for these giant procs to appear on the default UI as frost mage that have NOTHING to do w/ your rotation.

Make it so that we care about fingers of frost again since this is just absolutely cringe gameplayer to completely ignore these procs as they literally DON’T relate to the rotation at all.

And obviously we all know who the culprit of this terrible rotation is… DEATHSCHILL! This talent is just destroying frost mage entirely just remove it. We were not happy when it was added back, we were not happy when it was meta in the past, and we are not happy now. THIS IS A BAD TALENT. The dev who designed this talent should feel bad. This is trash design 101. This talent actively ruins the spec and forces the entire rotation to be tailored around it making our rotation extremely clunky and awful.

And pls buff Frostfire and options NOT to spec into glacial.

Yep. Was reading/watching some rotation guides on frost 11.0.5 and I’m just baffled.

I decided I’m going to keep playing the 11.0 spec/rotation. The mobility makes up for the current “BiS” turret spec.

Thanks Blizzard for, yet again, failing to tune talents to match your vision for a specialization.

As a Fire Mage using FF hero I am getting Fingers of Frost procs wth I don’t even have Ice Lance how am I getting that as a fire mage?

Im doing the same now. And it’s only sims like 75k below the boltslinger build. Plus the mobility I feel makes up for it.

It’s so bad man. I’ve been posting about it so much and it’s all radio silence. People liked the DF iteration of Frost mage and I’m not sure why they would want to change that. Not to mention they obviously wanted to simplify arcane and aether vision just counteracts that simplification. And then fire is just trash. Mage needs so much help.
I’m just playing the DF version of Frost mage and it only sims 75k below bolt slinger. Honestly with the movement it probably is the same dps wise.

Yeah seems on most fights ppl are running the RoF build in mythic instead of boltslinger w/ the exception of Sikran where you can just turret. They just need to remove deathschill from the game or make it exclusive w/ GS and have GS be tuned better.

Yeah… about Glacial Spike. Are we even supposed to cast that? I feel like casting Glacial takes too much time and it hampers DPS output. That spell is definitely not worth the button.

Yeah you definitely want to be casting GS on SS no matter the boltslinger or RoF build both in and out of icy veins. The only rule is that GS should only be cast if you can shatter it so either you have winter chill stack or a flurry to chain.

If you can’t shatter it you hold off casting GS till you can.

As I said in a couple of posts.

Remove deaths chill, fractured frost, and deep shatter.

Buff splinter storm to 5% brain freeze proc per splinter not per splinter storm, that’s basically a 0.6% chance per splinter to proc brain freeze it’s pathetic.

Make talents that affect frostbolt also affect glacial spike so things like fingers of frost, brain freeze, slick ice.

It would be nice to have a capstone for slick ice too. Even a choice node, for example I liked icy propulsion, at least the DF version, some didn’t though, so a choice node would be nice. Even if not propulsion it would still be nice to have something there

For frostfire it just needs general buffs, make excess frost/fire stack twice, make the haste buff 2% like mastery, and that’s pretty much it.

Oh, and make frostfire procs benefit from mastery, things like ice nova, frostfire burst, and meteor

GS is actually your top source of damage. You just always want to shatter it. Plus with the signature spell hero talent, it generates splinters when shattered

not only do you not have ice lance, but fingers of frost is also a connected talent from ice lance.

I just made a clearaura macro for my frostfire bolts.

Yep but I do get the Fingers of frost proc every so often
