Got all 11++'s in S1 as brewmaster.
Haven’t touched S2 yet. How are we feeling?
The new dungeons and season have been out for around 24 hours. You may need to give it some time for people to have strong feelings about it.
Same as it ever was. Less tankbusters on trash. Boss tankbusters hit like a truck. Last boss of ToP was hitting me for 5m without CDs on +10 but other busters are a snooze fest.
oh snap for real?
I thought it has been a week already!
EDMA style?
still the worst tank.
has been for a while now.
There’s multiple BrMs in the leaderboards doing +11s. The highest keys completed are +12s. They’re fine.
We’re totally fine ! just lacking a bit in damages
After all this time blizzard still refuses to buff kegs mash damage and radius, like 2 to 5 % more damage and few yards of radius would brake damn game.
Do I need to point at the sign?
Balance during the first week for M+ does not matter. People are just farming keys.
Brewmaster is the lowest damage tank in M+
Brewmaster requires the most outside healing of any tank
Brewmaster brings the least amount of utility to an M+ group
The only thing brewmaster excels at is surviving tankbusters while undergeared.
Just read me what it says
Not sure what makes you think this. Except for the RWF players gaming the system with splits, gear upgrades are capped this week with limited crests. People are trying to push the envelope with what gear they have to see how high they can go.
The end of dungeon rewards are the same for 10-12, so RWF players will only be doing 10s. Every doing 11 and up would be non RWF gamers with gear cap pushing boundaries.
EDIT: Also worth noting the GV rewards are same from 10-12, so if people were just farming they would stop at 10s for max gear results.
Yeah and right now the limiting factor is “can the DPS survive the one shot mechanics? Can the healer pump the necessary HPS to meet the heal checks” and not what tank can survive the key. All tanks can survive the key, but only some tanks can make it easier by either killing stuff faster or providing group utility that keeps people alive.
And like I said, BrMs are right there near the top with all the other tanks, so they apparently have some damage and/or utility to help the group succeed or else you wouldn’t see multiple BrMs doing it.
Edit: also keep in mind I said they’re fine. I didn’t say OP. I don’t know how everything will shake out with tier gear etc, but VDH and Pally look to be the OP tanks this season and will probably pull away from the pack at really high key levels. I figure anyone asking in these forums how BrM is looking is not planning to do the highest possible keys, just your achievement level ones +12 or so, and they’ll be fine for that.
BRM was fine for everyone but the top 1% in the world last season. I don’t see that changing. I got to 3k as BrM and didn’t think it was that bad. At some point you just need a really good team and comp to go past 14s.
BrM is fine.
so your saying they should nerf all the tanks to brewmaster level
The amount of doom and gloom you constantly post is rather tiring. BrM is more than capable and perfectly fine for the vast majority of the player base.
Crazy that the hardest to play tank in the game has non-competitive people defending its lackluster performance.
Here’s a bunch of competitive people who play the class just fine:

But please whine more.
Wait…so monk tanks are doing fine when compared to…other monk tanks?
Woah…
Well, that’s certainly one spectacular way to show just how bad you are at understanding basic concepts of this game.
So is rolling your face on the keyboard and playing on a 15" CRT monitor.
Given that tank balance as far as DPS goes is literally just adjusting one ****ing number on one line of code, I can’t think of any excuse why brewmaster is 20-30% behind every other tank in raid, and 10% behind the average tank dps in M+
