Well i suppose to you, you find it to be worth it.
To me, i don’t think it would be good value for me pretty much. WoW as it is, just ain’t doing it much for me these days. I’l hop on sometimes, do stuff, what stuff idk. Then just tap out for sometimes days at a time, rarely i log in everyday.
Quite honestly, i blame both in part Wow’s direction during mid BFA, and GTA Online months ago until Rockstar STUPIDLY ban me for playing legit. 
DF was the first xpac i have been fully subscribed to the entire duration since I started playing in wrath. before that i’ve played off and on a ton becuase the game was very alt unfriendly by means of the borrowed power grind. now that doesn’t exist, so I can play more toons and learn other classes.
I’m poor, so that’s why I probably won’t be getting a year sub anytime soon.
Because it would end up being a waste of $ for those of us that take extended breaks from the game. I go weeks, even months at a time without logging into the game, especially during the spring, and summer months. Heck I barely get my $ worth for the $30 I spend on the two-month deal lol.
Back in Legion, and BFA I would have easily. Those expansions had plenty of the things I enjoy doing in them/ zones content. Felt like I was getting my money’s worth out of this game. AS of now I can barely justify a 1 month subscription when most of the stuff in game now are weeklies, that can be done in one or two days depending on how you play. Tbh if they offered an hourly, or daily sub that is what I would be using.

if they offered something meaningful like an entire set of maxed out heirlooms, plus other stuff that helps with leveling alts, etc then sure i’d get it but a different set of pixels for moving around the game?

I’m sure the mounts and pets will show up in the shop, trading post or twitch reward at some point.

I made enough gold casually mining as I went about doing delves I bought 6 months of sub. I figure by the time that runs out ill have enough gold to buy a year! Blizzard not getting a cent until next Expansion
