Random musing. You can have the same name with different server tags, so I could eventually find another me in a random bg? Any one actually had this happen?

Can’t say that I have, no. But my character names are all super lame so it doesn’t surprise me.

I have, and they’ve all been so dull and disappointing. Warlock this, Demon Hunter that. Try something original my delectable delights. It’s like playing a Sin’dorei; if the majority is already doing it then you’ve not an original thought in your mind.

I ran into someone with almost the same name whilst on my alt. That’s the closest I’ve come to a doppelganger in all my time of playing.

On other characters yes - my Mage is named Submerged and I got grouped with a Rogue named that in a BG

and the weird thing is, We both had the same title which is a pretty rare one, Battlemaster

Armory currently shows only eight other characters named “Brahmina” (though there could be 10 million under level 10 for all I know). Only one is currently on a level where I might possibly be grouped with them.

I’d say the odds of me running into another me are very slim.

Not directly. I was on my velf priest in a bg when I met an orc rogue named Gackt. I tried to friend him but I think my mog scared him lol

I’ve made a number of variations on Actasanc and in fact apparently back in the day there was a big name guild called Veritas on Kirin Tor and one of their top raiders was a human paladin named Actasanc (or some variation of it).

I actually know this because one of their former fan bois called me out for daring to have the name Actasanc and be in a guild called Veritas Aequitas and that I was a long stream of expletives for stealing their name and guild name.

Never here. Happens to me on Final Fantasy 14 a bunch.

I was grouped with a guild from a different server with the same name as the guild I was currently in.

The other closest thing I’ve come to is I was on my now long gone Draenei shaman, Arashii, in a BG. On the horde side, there was a player with the same name. Well, same name, minus the extra “I” at the end.

BUT I have been in groups where someone was dressed very similar and that is always awkward lol. AND they were a troll too!

I met a Hankpanky DK the other day. I was leveling my maghar hunter and I was like “omg are you the Hankypanky on the forums?” :laughing:

Haha, it wasn’t me unfortunately. I only have this character right now.

Also, I’ve seen you around here on the forums and I love your name. Malice Mizer was my jam back in the day. Also, those looks!

Never ran across anyone who shares a name or close enough spelling to my main or alts. But I did learn in RL that there is a local doctor who has this character’s name:

I was pleasantly stunned.
