Have you ever looted a PVP chest as horde?

Hello,

I’m not sure how it works, whether it’s my server or world PVP is region-wide/server-cluster-wide, but I’ve never been able to loot one of the PVP boxes as horde for the whole DF, and now it’s the same in TWW. I don’t even know what there is in these boxes.

Overall, in world PVP everyone seems to be alliance. Is it because of the night elf racial?

Have you guys looted these chests? Would it make a difference if I changed server?

Cheers

Was playing super late around 3AM last night because I was able to sleep in today (no meeting Wednesdays).

Tight before I called it a night a chest dropped in Hallowfall. Im the only Alliance that showed up against 4 Horde. I let em have it.

So… maybe try after hours if you want a war chest?

I managed to loot one on this character… oddly enough there was an alliance there but I guess the box took so long to land he went afk? It was around 1am, so that probably helped.

Warmode is usually Alliance dominated. But more Horde will come out in the zone where the weekly sparks quest is. Especially Tuesday.

I’m playing 4 characters in warmode, 2 horde 2 alliance and 100% alliance is much easier to get crates.

Horde might send over 5-7 people to try for a crate and alliance shows up with 15-20 people.

It should be easier to get crates in zones with no active pvp world quests and is not the location for the weekly spark quest.

its 50-50 for me, i noticed whichever faction gets a chest tends to get the following one. I suspect this phenomenon will only increase as other people notice.

Only 150 honor and some misc stuff, I don’t even check what’s in there I just know it’s not that good. Oh some profession recipes for PvP gear, kinda meh.

Maybe when season starts they’ll start giving conquest, probably more honor too.

its 50/50 for me, usually a pretty fun brawl over it!

I’ll even go in alone vs 3,4, 5+ horde just to see how long I can stay alive, and try to snipe a kill or 2

Alliance almost always gets the crates. Blizzard made it very clear with racials that Alliance is their preferred faction. They don’t cater to Horde players anymore.

I was just thinking this. I usually play Alliance, but rolled this character to play with my cousins that are all Horde.

I didn’t realize how often I got crates on my Alliance character because I’ve barely gotten any on this guy, and I leveled him through the campaign, so I was around for a lot of crate drops.

Me being underleveled at the time, and still undergeared didn’t help, but the level of participation was heavily skewed towards Alliance. The crates drop super fast now, but while it was usually just me or me and one other Horde player, the Alliance drop whatever they’re doing and jump on it.

I’m not even mad. It’s not even that there aren’t enough Horde in the zone either; did a /who for the zone and it returned 50+ results. It just feels like no one cared, which is a shame.

To your other question, Nelf racial definitely had a lot of PvP focused players faction swap. Even among the Alliance races, no racial is quite as useful in as many scenarios or as powerful as shadowmeld. I don’t think that’s the entire issue though.

/who shows players from only your realm; both WM on and off.

Shadowmeld is very old, so it’s definitely not that.

Yeah but its had many iterations. I remember a time when you couldn’t Shadow Meld in combat :stuck_out_tongue:

It counts towards Tour of Duty achievements.

1000 Honor required for each zone so 150 is not bad at all

Yeah that was in vanilla annd TBC. It changed in wrath

Spend a lot of time in warmode and probably get crates around 15% of the time as horde. As others have said, it feels like there is significantly more Alliance engaged than Horde. Overall it makes the experience really unfun imo.

Our Blood Elves have had their racial changed even though it was untouched since Wrath as well.

Oh how I miss the silence/interrupt… Changed in BfA because almost every team in Legion M+ were running blood elves.

Think it’s time to change the Night Elf racial since almost every team in the MDI were running nelf for the meld skips. Simple change, if you’re in combat, meld wont stealth you. In combat, it’ll work like a mini gfade for about 1 second but will only stop the first spell/attack.

Only at the beginning of early access. Horde is trash.

I’d say I’m about 50% on the WPVP Chests.

It’s true a lot of PvP’rs jumped to Ally when cross faction guilds opened up, but what I’ve noticed is that the Horde in the zone are just there, vibing. While the Ally are in groups specifically farming chests, and then prob turn WM off right after.

Yeah that can be the only explanation they go and turn WM off when they can’t be grouped up and are solo. I’ve run into so many of them solo and boy do I tell you I have never seen some folks so good at running away, you can also guess what race they are (nelf). I am one of the ones that completely ignores the chests now, like what’s fun about having 5+ alliance on you .
