Have you commissioned fan art of your character?

have you commissioned art before? how did you do it? how much did it cost? If so, would you be willing to share?

Why would people do this?

Baffles the mind. Get a fursona drawn instead.

I hired an artist on fiverr to do a fan art drawing of his gnome for a friend for christmas a couple years ago.

I’ve had fanart made and silly free doodles. The fanciest art I have of Rosenivy was back when they were a chick. So its a smidge out dated.

Would love to get a big ol fancy commish of my lock, but I struggle with actually treating myself. It’s hard to get motivated when my meds are expensive.

I’ve definitely thought about it…but nope, never actually found anyone to do it

Sometimes I miss looking at mechagnome Nikolo

I did about 20ish years ago. Cost about $50 from a guildy at the time. I use it when ever I can and it is what I still mentally picture my character as.

Yes, I have recently had art commissioned of this guy right here as there was something the boyfriend wanted. Cost about 70 bucks.

Also had commissions of other characters as well but this was my first Warcraft character Commission.

I do, drew some myself, been gifted some, but mostly I commissioned from a friend till they became a regularly requested artist.

At the moment…this toon has mostly been a mechagnome, but also a human for a bit

I’m really fighting the urge to race change right now, lol.

Just AI it.

I know that AI art is severely frowned upon by the art community, but unfortunately we are moving to an age where custom, high quality graphics are just a few lines of text and a couple seconds of rendering away.

its sadly not perfect but i can understand someone going this route

Not yet, I’m still waiting for Blood Elf Druid.

Few of my guildmates does draw different kind of arts for themselves/customers.

But at that point, I wouldn’t consider it the character you play as.

There isn’t much wrong with AI art but it still lacks a lot. AI can’t capture scenes and emotion well, it’s good for easy reference but that’s about it.

Besides, supporting artists is always the better option if you can.
