Yes and seems like some people have already reported it as a bug but seems like no official word on it yet:

Sharded in the middle of doing an event

In the middle of doing Researchers under fire. Were waiting a second for the next phase an pop, sharded to somewhere that had already done it. Wasted my time and took away the ability to do the event. Sharding is straight up broken, and Blizzard needs to admit it and tell us what they are doing to fix it.
