It’s great. Been using it on all my least-played alts. Don’t have to re-learn the rotation on alts I haven’t played for months.

So are you going to bound your one button to Y, X, A or B in the coming future cuz we all know that is what is coming.

If wow is coming to console, I wonder if blizzard will buff the one button rotation to have a normal GCd so console players can do the same dmg as PC/Mac players.

It probably makes people in lfr/rdf perform better, so I’d say a positive effect.

Fix your name, good lord.

I’m pretty sure if the whole group is 670-ish ilvl with full consumes, they could comfortably time a 12 or 13 with all three dps using the one button rotation.

It’s practically useless. It tries to use cool downs when they are not needed, it tries to use over powered buttons when a target only has a few health left and it has no idea about self heal or crowd control.

I switched it off and went back to Hekili.

I picked a terrible, neglected alt. I swapped it to a spec I never play. I selected the started build. I dragged the button onto the bar along with cds.i went into lfr. I used cds on cd and spammed the button. I finished in the middle of the pack for dps. :woman_shrugging:

I think that if you weren’t bottom dps on a spec you never play, sounds like the one button rotation is doing pretty well.

I have greatly been enjoying the forum battles.

I picked the specs that are kind of okay at it, shadow priest is my favorite so far. Good result (but not great result)

Probably a good compromise for people that wanted less buttons vs people that didn’t want their specs to be pruned

I don’t even know what abilities it was using!

Good idea, bad idea.

It’s a great idea, just, poorly implemented. I could make a GSE macro using in game macro options to have a true one button that uses CD’s, has no penalty and does in some instances, way, way more than 25% more damage than the Blizzard OBR.

It works well in some circumstances for some specs, but other specs needing more ‘CD’ usage and it breaks, like Outlaw, where their RTB is a CD, plus the other three or so CD’s Outlaw has, so if you use OBR it basically does three or four spells as a rotation, uses no main CD spells, and you do zero damage. Because see with Outlaw your finisher reduces the cooldown on your CD’s and they are needed to do any real damage that OBR just doesn’t take into consideration.

There are other specs that perform far worse than the 25% GCD penalty would dictate, but some like BM hunter who perform better than a 25% GCD penalty because most damage comes from your pet who do not get a penalty.

They really should just use a proper rotation, one that we use in addons like Hekili and any other DPS rotation helpers, the rotation we get when we sim our character, then instead of not using CD’s or giving us a 25% GCD penalty, all which changes how much real penalty we actually have based on what spec we are playing, but just give us a real sim rotation that simply does X% less damage and call it a day.

I turn my HUD off and use OBR in the open world. It’s quite the immersive and chill experience.

Glad you enjoy it

Eh, it’s okay. More fun without it in general, but I got some quests done the other day when my arthritis was acting up in my hands, which was nice.

Nope. Don’t like my game playing itself and it isn’t very informative on WHY things are being used, so I fail to see how it would teach anyone much of anything.

i think it is great , not good for me though as a holy priest in retail, no good for healers.
