Sure, but also that didn’t stop them from continually adding updated visuals to almost every other class while fixing them. Visuals that were not even complained about, I’ll add. Meanwhile, this one thing that has been complained about for years now still hasn’t changed. So, like, literally no excuse other then they just don’t want to throw shaman the bone.

But the question wasn’t why didn’t they do it. Or why they aren’t doing it.
But it was asking why people aren’t complaining about it.
Gameplay always trumps cosmetics. And I think more people were focused in gameplay this last week as prepatch hit with new talents, etc. that the prepatch was keeping people’s attention for the time being

Should be as simple as swapping character models from the ugly ascendant to literally anything else. I don’t get why they refuse to acknowledge it. I’ve been waiting since the glyph went away (still don’t understand why they removed it). Give us the glyph back, or update the model. Use Dathea from VoTA as an example. Just stuff us inside a new elemental based on spec. Furthermore, they also need to give Ele a choice node between a fire ascendant or a lightning ascendant.
As much as I agree with needing a new model for ascendance (It’s nearly 14 years old now), I disagree with this, unless enhance and resto get a similar option. Ele isn’t the only spec that utilizes more than one element.
For me is not even the “single ability” thing.
It’s that casting anything else is an active dps loss. That in order to be “optimal” we have to ignore our core mechanics and over cap on resources because using a spender is taking time away from more lava burst.
But don’t get me wrong. I love me some meatballs. But ascendence in its current state doesn’t make sense. Hasn’t for a long time.

There is no way blizzard can ignore updating the ascendance model after what they made with the primalists.
That new ascended model is sitting right in front of you (Dathea raid boss), just grab it and give it to us!

if only we were warlocks, then we’d have 5 different ascence models and a few different elementals to choose from…
