Have we already seen the "Pantheon" of Life in part?

Speculation!

In the Ion-Bellular interview, Ion makes mention that the Titans are the Pantheon of Order, and the Eternals (Arbiter + the Four Covenant Leaders are confirmed in this category, Jailer and Runecarver are ambiguous as of right now) are the Pantheon of Death.

Therefore presumably there are “Pantheons” of Life, Light, Shadow, and Disorder/Chaos! Likewise we know that the Eternals were helped by the First Ones, and Oribos was created by the First Ones.

So I imagine we will see a Pantheon of Life eventually, but what if Cenarius the Lord of the Forest is part of that Pantheon? I keep thinking about this quote:

The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green.

Vassal means usually for a person whose power is derived of another, someone to whom the vassal must pay hommage or allegiance. In fact, one can be King of one place while being a vassal to another power. And being a vassal of a cosmic force puts you pretty “up there”.

And Cenarius has blue-green eyes. Not verdant strong green, but green all the same. The treachery could be he is fully aware of the First Ones but he has been keeping secrets from us for tens of thousands of years.

Cenarius is the son of Elune, one of the few “true deities” of WoW who almost everyone is in collective agreement is a possible First One of the First Ones, and Malorne, a Wild God of Azeroth.

So what if Cenarius the Lord of the Forest is part of the Pantheon of Life, as Lord of Azeroth’s Emerald Dream?

Similarly on Draenor, we have the Primals who came from the Sporemounds, who were all part of a thing called the Evergrowth. However, the questgiver Birchus mentions a thing called “The Overgrowth”, where in the quest “Laying Dionor to Rest”, he says Dionor must be sent back to the Overgrowth as right now he’s still in reality and causing a “nightmare” growth, and Birchus says he no longer feels a desire to return to The Overgrowth.

Therefore, perhaps, The Overgrowth is Draenor’s Emerald Dream, and there’s a Cenarius-equivalent in the capital we never go to see because Warlords of Draenor was a flaming hot mess in the island of Farahlon.

Furthermore, N’zoth make the following statements:

N’Zoth whispers: The Light has struck a bargain with the enemy of all.

Queen Azshara yells: Treacherous Banshee! Do you think I am blind to the darkness you seek to unleash?
N’Zoth the Corruptor yells: Only I can save this world. Yield… and serve!

N’zoth did not want the Jailer released. In fact, in the comics with the Windrunner sisters, the Void whispers are telling Alleria:

  • This one is dangerous. She is a threat and must be ended. Beware this one. She seeks the death of all things… all possibilities. End Her Thread. Murder her. Save yourself and murder her. Save the world and murder her.
  • She is a violation, she serves the true enemy, kill her now, remove her from this world and take from her what you need, now.

Therefore N’zoth does not work with the Jailer and in fact the whole Void works against the Jailer. They despise death. They view the Jailer as the “true enemy of all”. In fact, not only are the Undead immune to Old God corruption, but Alleria even suggests having Sylvanas lead the fight against N’zoth.

Likewise, we know The Emerald Dream was “invented” based heavily on the DC Universe The Green.

So what is Ny’alotha the Sleeping City is a derivative of DC Universe’s The Red, where both The Red and the Green are fundamental aspects of Life, and exist so long as Life continues existing?

e.g., as far as visual cues are concerned:

So the “Lifelands” could very well be the Dream/Overgrowth/equivalent of each planet where Life exists, and also the Nyalotha/equivalent of each planet where either Life falls into “nightmare” without Old Gods, like Dionor in Draenor, or where Old Gods take root and spread, like in the planet Fyzandi and on Azeroth?

Therefore the Lifelands we are so far aware of on some level, given they are specific to planets where Life exists, are:

  • The Emerald Dream of Azeroth
  • The Overgrowth of Draenor
  • The Dream-equivalent of Fyzandi
  • Ny’alotha the Sleeping City of Azeroth
  • Ny’alotha-equivalent of Fyzandi?

And the Pantheon of LIfe we know of so far is:

  • Cenarius, the Lord of the Forest of Azeroth
  • ???, whoever rules Farahlon on Draenor
  • The Old Gods of Azeroth
  • perhaps the Winter Queen of Ardenweald too (in the sense Persephone is both an Olympian goddess of nature and a Cthonic goddess of the dead, so she double dips given Ardenweald is tied to the Wild Gods and thus the Dream-equivalents of all worlds where Wild Gods exist)
