Hello WoW Development Team,
I was directed to post here by GM Xyresyk of Blizzard Europe and US GM Crahomin to help fix the following glaring bug/oversight (for reference, please see USA Ticket# US75327270).
In summary, I and many other Gladiators from The Burning Crusade Expansion did not receive our “Gladiator” Achievements, even though we were awarded the Gladiator mounts and associated mount achievements (e.g. the “Merciless Nether Drake” achievement from Season 2)
The “Gladiator” achievement states: “Earn the Gladiator title in an arena season”.
However, when the achievement system was implemented after Season 4/during the WoTLK prepatch, Blizzard Devs forgot to code and award S1-S4 gladiators with their “Gladiator” achievement.
Thus, could you please (after more than a decade) please help to finally fix this glaring bug, as it is arguably one of the most difficult/prestigious achievement one can be awarded in game?
Jeff Kaplan, Vice President of Blizzard, has stated previously that achievements could be granted retroactively:
"Jeffrey Kaplan:
We retroactively track any quest Achievements or any Achievement for an item which is either on your character or in your bank… There are a lot of Achievements based on stuff like honorable kills or reputations. We have all that tracked."
It seems a (seemingly) simple way to resolve this would be to check whether players received their TBC gladiator mount(s) (e.g. in Achievements → Feats of Strength → Mounts → Swift/Merciless Nether Drake, etc.), and then grant us the “Gladiator” achievement.
As for proof of other gladiators stating the same issue, the following MMO-champion link from posters in 2014 stated they they earned their Gladiator mounts in the TBC Expansion, but also did NOT receive the Gladiator ACHIEVEMENT. (At least 3 different posters stated the same issue):
Separately, the following wowhead.com link to the Gladiator Achievement page also confirms that Gladiators from S1-S4 were not properly awarded the “Gladiator” achievement.

PvP Seasons 1-4 did not have an achievement system implemented yet. The top performers may have received mounts but Gladiator achievements were not available to the communiy. When the system was released these were not retroactively provided. So you might be in the Situation that you got the FOS (for rank1 top 0,5%) or the Mount, but not the actual Gladiator achievement.

I got gladiator in 3s in Season 2 with 2400-2500 ratings at the time, but didn’t even get the 3s 1700 rating achievement
