It’s supposed to be plug and play, and so I hooked up the cable on one end to a USB port on the old machine and the other end to a USB port on the new one.
Now… I’m supposed to just sit back and let the transfer do its job, right? The indicator between the 2 cables shows it is running, but I have no other instructions.
I clicked on its icon at the task bar and the files pop up: music, pictures, documents, etc., but nothing to show me a countdown or anything. It just shows me a “Last Write” of 7/11/23 (today is the 12th) and what looks like 7 hours to the right of that, but again, nothing to indicate time remaining.
If y’all tell me to just let it run like overnight, well of course I’m going to do that, but since there are no instructions, I am posting this as a question to ask if there’s anything else I should be doing.
Thanks
it should have come with a quick set up guide
Transferring Files Between Computers
When the EasySuite or GO!Bridge software opens, there will be two
windows, Local Host and Remote Host. Local Host is the computer
you are currently using. Remote Host is the computer you are
connected to via the cable. Both the EasySuite Software and
GO!Bridge software allow you to transfer files using the same
techniques.
There are two ways to transfer files with EasySuite or GO!Bridge:
• Option 1: Select the file to be transferred on either the local or
remote computer, then drag and drop it into the destination
directly.
OR
• Option 2: You can Copy and Paste the files to be transferred by
selecting the files using Ctrl+C, then pasting the files in the
destination folder using Ctrl+V, or by using the same commands
on the Edit menu.
Note: If you get an error message on your Mac system stating that you can
not write files to a specific folder, then choose another folder that does not
have user restrictions. Or you may consult your operating system
documentation on how to modify write permissions on a certain folder

Thanks for the help again, Lilybugg. I guess they thought I should have known all of that or they couldn’t get a translator for English instructions. Be that as it may, I left the two machines hooked up all night and found absolutely zilch when I checked them. Old machine had switched off and all files were as they were left because an idiot was at the wheel, apparently.
i would just use a usb drive to copy all data over. programs needs to be reinstalled but that’s probably for the better. windows registry sucks
