What is this quest i hear about that you can be able to tame this pet? this pet is from the beast mastery artifact quests. Where do i get this quest to tame it and what is it called?
Hati was the main pet for BM Hunters in Legion. Hati is summoned when you use BM Hunter’s Artifact Weapon. But when BFA came, we stopped using the Artifact Weapon and we lose Hati.
Then 8.1.5 came to bring back Hati to BM Hunters without requiring the Artifact Weapon of Legion. There is a quest started from Trueshot Lodge, Hunter’s home in Legion.

BTW, when you do get Hati, find a vendor on that area where you tamed Hati and buy the item that allows you to ride Hati. Yeah, you can use Hati as your mount. Buy a stack of this item becoz it’s a consumable.
And it’s the best item in the damn game. Shame we can’t use all of our pets as riding mounts.

As a beast mastery hunter I picked up the quest to get Hati back in Dazar’Alor/Boralus from one of those Ulduar-looking Gnomes (Mimiron perhaps, not sure totally).
Anyways, the quest shows as an orange exclamation mark from one of these guys and they have do a short quest line in Storm Peaks, Silithus, etc. You complete this quest and can tame Hati by the end, you can also talk to Thorim - the Titan dude will be there when you take Hati - to change the colour scheme of the wolf and tame her again. There’s about six different colours of Hati and you can even tame two and have them both out with the correct beast mastery talents.
Can anyone help me out how this thing works. I got the gun from the quest but the ability of Equip: summons Hati is greyed out. Can someone explain to me why? And what do i need to do to make it active? There is really not much help given ingame and as someone who played hunter first time I am freaking clueless on what I need to do…

It was an artifact weapon ability during Legion, and they were all removed in the BfA pre-patch. None of the artifact weapons work anymore. They are now just normal weapons.
The only way to get Hati now is to do the BfA quest in Boralus/Dazar’alor. I believe the first quest is called “Spark of Genius”
It’s just wrong that we can’t ride him in the maw. He’ll fight the monsters for us, even die, but he won’t let us on his back to run from them?
