Hate to quote Asmongold but here goes... listen up!

Guy shouldn’t have an opinion at all on this, he is carried through every bit of hard content. He wants something or top end gear? he finds someone that carries him or instantly some group will help him. Please stop giving this dude attention.

What i like about asmon is despite the rep he has of being a complete and utter sperg he is actually quite knowledgeable when it comes to real world issues & historical subjects.

His community on the other hand ……. Good lord.

Been playing WoW with a laptop since 2017.

I’ve noticed this new User Interface raid frames isn’t ideal for my small screen. My screen is quite busy

I hooked my laptop to a 55" 4k tv, put a recliner in the middle of the gaming room, I’ll never go back to a computer chair and monitor on a desk…plus I’m old and can’t see anymore…

That sounds wonderful. My usual spot is the kitchen table lol

Cause I should be doing homework. I tend to multitask.

So I went and had a look at the clip where this was stated and the screen in question had 3 WA all overlapping in the dead center of the monitor. No wonder he couldn’t see what was going on.

I don’t think that’s a unique take to Asmongold. It’s a fact that the game suffers from visual indicators not being optimal some times or just being inaccurate. Sometimes the skill goes beyond what its indicator, well, indicates, and not to mention the issues Blizzard has had with stairs and ramps ever since ever when anything lands on them.

By the way, who here remembers Sire Denathrius with red swirlies on a red floor with a red background with other red ground spells happening at the same time?

They do that with a lot of boss fights in dungeons and raids it’s irritating… usually the bad stuff is the same color as the floor, it’s like really.

“Before anything else, you want to concentrate the game on the fun. All aspects of the game – the design, the mechanics of encounters, the quests and story are focused on making the game fun to play. Not only fun to play – but fun to play for players, not developers. The challenge is to keep players jumping through the correct hoops, while making those hoops fun.”

~ Rob Pardo speaks about Blizzard game design, 2010

Oooo can i try?

“If you mix blue and yellow, you get a new colour called blellow”.

Did i do it right?

Dear OP,
Perhaps people should just turn off all the junk they have cluttering their screens. They are not needed. I’ve raided this entire season without using addons and I see a lot more than what I did before because I am focused on the actual game, and not all the clutter.

Blizzard doesn’t need to do that, you do. Blizzard puts incoming mechanic indicators via visual and audio means. All you need to do is pay attention to see them.

The rule is that you’re supposed to keep out of the swirlies, except for the swirlies you’re supposed to stand in.

This makes me think back to when Blizzard strongly restricted camera distance. I mean, I could understand restricting camera distance in something like a BG with PvP concerns in mind, but in PvE people routinely set further distances because it helped keep an eye out for various mechanics and maintain stronger awareness of where the rest of your raid was spread.

I disliked that change.

Playing for 15+ years and NOW lack of visual clarity is a problem? Oh okay.

They’ve standardized many of the indicators years ago so I don’t really know what people have trouble seeing on their screen.

Before people say Raz strafing breath the idea is you need to look up and pay attention, not sleepwalk through a clean line painted on the ground and and ignore her arial position.

They’ve also given most bosses energy bars so you can see when a mechanic is coming up. And they have voice emotes when they do stuff too
