Made the mistake of trying to be special and invested into outlaw for PVP.
-got my weps
-full sweat trying to kill a keyboard turning warrior who is doing quests
-nearly die from him finding his buttons accidentally
Nope.jpg
bought some green daggers went assa
-have haste not mastery gear
-absolutely demolishing
-people are dying randomly because of sudden demise
-what is this damage
Dude, why.
Lowkey though, maybe these simnerds saying mastery is so far ahead of haste for assa is inaccurate? It literally shouldn’t do more damage than what I’m seeing with haste.

Outlaw needs rework and big buffs

outlaw is way better than assa in pvp. the toolkit is insane, the cdr needs to go.
and im not sure about haste being better for assa than mastery. last season i was full haste on one rogue and full mastery on the other, i had way better damage output with full mastery. w/ haste i got more globals off cause a little less energy starved.
LOL. You did not just say that. You actually look like a fool from that comment. Outlaw is the least represented elite/duelist/general spec rn because the damage is so bad.
Outlaw is considered S+ in the right hands, every top pvper knows it. Average population not so much. But it’s def up there for sure

Every pvp tier list has outlaw at mid to low mid tier right now. I see you’re a pve guy so you must be talking about dungeons and raids so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt there.
However if you really are talking about pvp then you should have no problems wiping up that long time challenger rating peak since “it’s so good”. Which I highly doubt because you couldn’t even hit 1k when it was actually decent
The reason every PvP tier list has Outlaw on mid/mid-low tier is because of damage output. At a high-level play, they have A LOT and I really mean A LOT of CC. But, as a lot of people mentioned here, the damage is abysmally low lol. And no, I’m not repeating what everyone here is saying because I want to from hearing it from tier lists or from word of mouth but out of just sheer experience (my frustration with trying to CC/peel Nelf Outlaws only to get counter CC’d because of the extra vanish). With how things are balanced rn, I think Outlaw is getting carried in 3s by the classes its usually played with, especially RMP because of the defensives given to mage and Oracle Priest specifically.

Not worth engaging with ya, so best I can say is GL out there
Theyre not innacurate, theyre just dumb. I will die on this hill and I can’t wait to check the discord and see Whispyr laughing at me calling this out again. The reason Haste feels good to play with as Sin and never has the stat value scale poorly for damage is cause its a dot based spec that relies on the dot ticks to speed up energy regen. In ST, the spec doesnt even feel playable til the (historically) X.2 or X.3 patches where you actually have enough haste baseline to not spend 2 seconds after pressing Mutilate recovering energy. The reason Mastery is valued more is cause the energy problems go out the window as soon as you have a second target (which is the situation you encounter 90%+ of the time).
That last 10% though ruins the specs enjoyment.
goes to show what you know about pvp and the WoW community especially in the age of meta gaming.
representation does not mean much in regards to the ability of a spec/class, representation in WoW is much more a reflection of the FOTM specs or path of least resistance (whats easiest to accomplish my goals).
outlaw is not easy to play which is why its not highly represented. people prefer simpler classes, especially in pvp, but when played right it is S+ tier. the set up and control is crazy, the cdr for vanish and other buttons is OP. the spec does not die, and having the best damage in pvp doesnt really mean much when you are tanky and very controlling. outlaw enables so many caster comps its not even funny.
if they buffed the damage of outlaw this game would be even a bigger joke than it has become as of lately
Every class is S+ when you have a hand picked team carrying dps and helping out with cc. You really are clueless. So with that mentality they should just nerf warrior dps to the ground cuz the high level 3v3s warrior can cc alot better then you can
Assassination has been strong with haste in PVP before (eg MoP Paralytic Poison) and it wouldn’t surprise me if that can still work in PVP stacking haste instead of mastery.
The reason though that Assassination stacks mastery more so in PVP is because the damage is more upfront with Envenoms and poisons due to mastery.
As for Outlaw being S tier I doubt it this season lol. It needs a buff in PVE and PVP overall.
