“Top speed racer” Alliance guild on the server sold protection to Alliance guilds here for 40k. Put “bounties” on members of the Alliance that didn’t pay their tax that don’t have the guild tag.
What’s it like on the other servers?
My guild didn’t pay the toll so I’m sleeping cozy buried in sand.
Everything’s fine on Deviate Delight. Plenty of room for all the big guilds to get a scarab lord and the gates aren’t opening until August 18th so plenty of time to complete the quest.
Nothing wrong with that. And it’s likely they’re not paying the horde to do so. The top horde guild likely has the same fee and they’re just colluding with each other to take out people that don’t pay.
Have been since P2 started. Only problem with P2 was that it ended too soon. It was pretty glorious watching the PvP servers burn after all the ‘carebear’ comments. Then seeing people whining about how their vaunted world PvP was getting in the way of their PvE content? Priceless.
phase 2 was actually the most fun I’ve had in WOW. My server was pretty balanced though. Was a shame they implemented cross server battle grounds. I was looking forward to facing off against certain people in BGs.
A group of 5 or so of my guildies is farming away in Silithus. Seems like each of the bigger guilds picked a cave and stick to it - for the most part. My server is Windseeker, its PvE and glorius.
The game would feel incomplete to me without the option of attacking members of the other faction if I want. I think the problems you cite are a product of the attitude on and toxicity of megaservers. Smaller PvP servers are best imo.
Are you kidding me? PvE environments for this type of thing would be horrendous. Our guild is currently fighting alliance in silithus for respawns, in addition to fighting off horde for them. I can’t imagine how terrible it would be if we couldn’t kill off half of the competition and we all had to sit around in a circle waiting to be the first to tag.
I’m sure PvP servers were great back in the day. Now, however, most people on PvP servers are childish adults who go out of their way to ruin the day of other players.
