Has Wow Abandoned Casual Players

Retail is M+/Raid or die, so now instead of just raiding and being done, you get to spam the same 8 dungeons over and over again for years for the same exact gear.

I like taking things at my own pace without having to deal with trying to get everyone together to do things. Sure, itā€™s fun to run dungeons with guildies and friends, but theyā€™re doing other things a lot of times, or our schedules donā€™t align as often as I would like. THEN, thereā€™s the case of throwing myself at a dungeon for long periods of time without worry. Currently, if the group gets tired of trying a boss over and over and breaks up, then Iā€™m stuck even if I want to keep trying. Torghast was great for me because I could tackle it the way I wanted as often as I wanted and it showed me that dungeons/raids SHOULD (and can) be flexible at this point.

In my opinion, everyone wins in this scenario. Raiders can still raid, soloers can still solo, and regular groupers can still group. We can all see content and get appropriate rewards for our trouble AND have progression that fits our playstyle which was what Torghast was lacking. Not only that, but weā€™d all have more dungeons to run, because they wouldnā€™t have to split development between raids and dungeons. Big dungeons like old Scholo and Strath would be possible again, too.
