Has this whisper happened yet? from Il'gynoth

“The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green.”

Has that happened yet?

And for people who have better knowledge of the lore, What are the three lies that Anduin told?

“The boy-king serves at the master’s table. Three lies will he offer you.”

Or was the boy-king, Wrathion? What is another name for a prince than boy-king?

Nope.

The boy-king is currently unknown and if it is Anduin I have no idea what three lies he could have told.

The boy King was Arthas and the first lie was shared through Ogmot, “bound by that throne, no free… free!” I assume it has to do with free will, or Arthas’s lack of it.

“The Boy King sits at the master’s table” is an allusion to Arthas’s Nightmare in the prologue and Epilogue of Arthas: Rise of the Lich King, where he’s literally sitting at a table with himself as the Lich King, Ner’zul to his left and his sickly personification of his inner child on the right.

I imagine we haven’t heard the other two lies yet, but they will be shared through Anduin who now serves the Master, The Jailer.

“The Vassal of Life” is the Emerald Dream. A vassal is a stately place that is ruled over by an institution, and the Emerald Dream is where all Life is connected to Azeroth. The Nightmare (which we now know comes from Shadowlands, and has ties to Ardenweald, as Ardenweald is just a parallel reflection of the Emerald Dream) Nightmare is the anti-thesis of the Dream meant to corrupt the Pantheon of Life. When Sylvanas says “The Jailer must not reach…” She may be talking about the Emerald Dream, because the Dream shapes reality.

People have got to stop acting like these ever meant anything. These have been around for years and I cannot think of a single one that has ever actually “come true”.

Closest thing is Malfurion got redesigned to have green eyes.

Queen Azshara yells: You see the truth now, don’t you, heroes? Every move you’ve made has been according to my will.
Queen Azshara yells: That lumbering dwarf believed you could save Azeroth by empowering your shiny little Heart. The gift of a sleeping titan.
Queen Azshara yells: Yes, a titan’s heart was exactly what was needed. Not to heal the world… but to shatter the prison of a god.
Queen Azshara yells: Such delicious irony… the diamond king has been made a pawn.

From Il’gynoth:

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Il%27gynoth#Quotes

The king of diamonds has been made a pawn.

Furthermore there is this:

To find him, drown yourself in the circle of stars.

To find N’Zoth him we had to drown ourselves in Azshara’s Watery Arcane Bombs(which are clearly made of Watery Arcane when you look at them) in order to avoid being killed by them long enough to defeat her foiling her plan to assassinate N’Zoth! If we did not drown ourselves we’d be dead and Azshara would be the only one in N’Zoth’s presence.

Other possible hints to the Shadowlands come from Gloomseeker Yarga who has comments on the Drowned.

The Murloc Necromancers in Nazjatar the Necrofin Murlocs even use Necromantic Orbs of the Drowned which most likely signify the Jailer’s influence.

If the Drowned is those in the Jailer’s thrall than the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron’s comment: “The drowned god’s heart is black ice.” references his Sigil as his Death Magic turns an Icy Blue Color when the Black Sigil returns.

Tbh the way I hope that the way this actualises is that it’s more or less that Life isn’t objectively “good”. Like, there’ll be some life aligned character that aides another cosmic power in a way that’s seemingly like, bad (?) but they’re just acting in the best interest of Life. So the point of the Il’gynoth whisper is that it is true, yes, however there’s that 1000 truths nuance.

Arthas is referred as the boy that would be Litch king in Edge of night. Last time we saw him he was thrown in the Maw.
“The boy that would be Litch king serves at the masters table. Bound by the frozen throne? No free free.” Feets perfectly.
Speculation about the lies: During the Edge of night his soul or a part returned to Azeroth with Sylvanas. He was dormant till Jailer was ready/capable to awaken him. There is s line about the one that was awakened in Ogmots journal. That happened araund end of Legion. The first lie was the Edge of night the second was the forth war.

he has green eyes now? what was his eyes before?

Malfurion’s Eyes used to be Golden. Whether or not he turned Traitor or has been replaced with a Nathrezim is unknown.

It would be funny if Malfurion had been replaced by Detheroc and was retrieving the asset(whatever it is) mentioned in Nathrezim Journals while we were dealing with Mal’Ganis and discovering Kin’tessa’s theft of Remornia in Revendreth.

The letter being left in Revendreth would mean the messenger who sent the letter was ordered to bring it back to Revendreth so that we would find it!

Considering Mal’Ganis boasts in the Quest that captures him that Denathrius’s plans go beyond the Shadowlands the idea of Detheroc impersonating Malfurion since the Emerald Nightmare Raid wouldn’t surprise me. Of course that would mean Sargeras revived him automatically just because Anetheron suggested he impersonate Malfurion!

That would mean Cenarius was corrupted by the Nathrezim while unconscious! Was Ursoc sent to Ardenweald by the Kyrian or did Detheroc send him(possibly shutting down the Arbiter in the process)?

Last night, Ogmot dreams of great battle. Two fleets bashin on ocean of blood.
Shadows twistin beneath da ships, risin. Risin. Ogmot so happy watchin da carnage!
Then Ogmot gets waked up by skitterin sounds. Stupid bugs!
Dont matter. Ogmot knows dese dreams soon come true.

Life comes back to dis wasted land.
First da bugs come. Now da gobbies skulkin round… Dey cravin da world blood… Ogmot am sure of it!
BAH! Let dem have dese drippins! Soon Ogmot gonna drink rivers of blood! Da Masters promise!

Today smoke rises up from da campfire. Smoke tells Ogmot good story.
Ogmot sees lady wrapped in dark swirlies. She leads herd of blind sheep.
Da sheepies follow her everplace she go. Do everthin she say. Never doubt lady.
She guide dem over tall cliff! SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT! Stupid sheepies!
Da crows get fat eatin da sheepflesh. Da lady laugh as crows eat!
Ogmot laugh too!

That’s the fun thing about these quotes though. They are there to be part of the void’s endless possible outcomes. They don’t necessarily have to come true, but it always allows the writers to go back and reference them.

It’s just good ol’ fun.

To OP:

They are building up Elune to take the villain bat it seems. Both the void and the brokers (Death) have made remarks of Elune not being this peaceful goddess.

There have been a few times now were they have remarked that she is not trustworthy.

However, if I’m not mistaken, Elune is said to have Silver eyes.

This has lead to a majority of people speculating that this will be Ysera- somehow.

Her being a main character within Ardenweald also raises speculation into this, as she is labeled the Winter Queen’s sister’s “pet.”

If Elune isn’t trustworthy, then her “pet” could “disguises treachery.”

The quote itself hasn’t been made clear enough, along the lines of the King of Diamonds being made into a pawn, so it probably hasn’t come to past.

Another interesting bit, in the Gilmore of the Shadowlands book, Ysera is stated to have been saved by the Winter Queen using part of her “essence.” This connection has tied Ysera to Ardenweald and she shares the same fate as the Night Fae now.

This could lead into an interesting story with the Winter Queen and her relationship with the Jailer…

“The boy-king serves at the master’s table. Three lies will he offer you.”

This too is speculated to be Anduin, he is often referred to be the “boy-king” (little lion) and in the Archon’s Sigil cinematic, they really emphasis the word “King” when referring to Anduin aswell.

Some people believe that this was one of his three lies, to gain an audience with the Archon, but that’s pretty slim.

Again, this doesn’t seem like this has come true just yet.

(Or even will- again Voids see possibilities, these are just for fun.)

is that really a shock? How can a Goddess be peaceful when you can do a ritual and be a wrathful Night Warrior?

Yeah, I never really liked Elune.

I think it would be cool if Tyrande killed Slyvanas while she was chained up.

Tyrande:Killing Slyvanas
Tyrande to Slyvanas: I don’t need a god’s power to kill you…

Jania: Tyrande… what have you done?
Tyrande: What you failed to do with Garrosh.

But, given how they have written Elune recently, it could be interesting if she “controlled” Ysera and used her to kill Slyvanas. Kindof tying back into the Old God whisper.

The first of the infant’s lies are that he ever wanted peace. He’s already told two more.

Can you guess what they are?

So yogg used shadowlands magic when he made the nightmare or is yet another thing on the retcon chopping block?

I really hope they don’t retcon Yogg-saron and the Emerald Nightmare that would be just one more disappointment.

Is that true? I thought a vassal was a servant, hence I was thinking of Ysera first.

Edit: So it can be a person or a state. In english “vassal” can refer as “vassal state”, where in my language they are separated words.

Edit 2: Having no idea of the lore and just enjoying reading here, I’ll just throw my substance-less theory in: Ysera is still corrupted and now we woke her up in the shadowlands

The Emerald Nightmare is apparently originating in the Shadowlands so why would it matter if Y’sera brings it back with her?

They said in an Ardenweald inteview that the Emerald Nightmare is to The Shadowlands what the Emerald Dream is the the Pantheon of Life.

Wait, I thought the Emerald Nightmare was from old gods poisoning the dream so that if anyone ever tried to reoriginate the planet, they’d accidentally seed enough corruption to let them break out sooner. Was that retconned too?
