why? the effect on that was a dps one…not a defensive one? I didnt play Vanilla …I assume this was just a threat bonus for tanks then? Meh if that’s the case.

I always saw it go to Rogues. Tanks would get that quel salir or whatever it was called from Onyxia

Phaseshift Bulwark is a legendary item that drops in Tempest Keep and only works on the Kael’Thas encounter and then it disappears. I am pretty sure that it doesn’t count for the OP’s question. I actually thought you were joking and was laughing along with you but I guess you were being serious. My bad.

Makes more sense spending the resources you accumulate in preparation for a raid to be spent on the guy standing out front. Would have been great if they added a tank legendary during the dreamsurge patch, maybe make it like fangs of the father where you upgrade it, so that its at its peak epic level when the raid launches and then after killing X raid boss it goes legendary in time for mythic progression.

Variation between classes are purely cosmetic in this game, the idea that a 2h axe is more “pleasing” to build than a fist weapon or shield is ridiculous. They probably chose an axe because they want people to come over from wotlk classic when they are dissatisfied with shadowmourne pvp and the dead pvp system they’ve got going on over there. At least with fated raid season coming people coming back will have plenty of time to grab an axe and utilize it.

I mean, the bigger question is why have tanks STILL not had their own legendary? C’mon man. DPS and healers have had their own a number of times. Where is the tanking one?
It could just be a freakin trinket that only works if the person is in tanking spec.

Healers have had one legendary (Ulduar healing mace).

Tanks had Thunderfury.

So they both barely had any.

All I know is that there has never been a leggo for shamans. It’s always been focused on melee or spellcaster dps. It’s stupid. It needs to stop.

Not only that, but its one of the least accessible item types in the game. You’d be better off making a legendary wand.

Twice as many specs as a bow (ProtWar, ProtPal, HolyPal, RestoSham vs Marks, BM). Which they did. And another pseudo-legendary bow in VotI, just two tiers later!

I miss sword and board DPS so much

yeah bud, me too. I got a survival hunter thats more like a 2H sword knight, but I mean, I was looking for a true Sword and Board class which lead me to the only option I could find, and that was the protection warrior. Damage is super low BUT it is a Sword and Board class. Wish there was a REAL sword and board FULL DPS class out there with all the damage of any other dps class but just be able to 1H + Shield.
