Just wondering if there’s a cookiecutter out there yet of a PVE/PVP build. Looking to heal mostly/flag carry. Basically wanna be a jack of all trades like the class should be but without having to respec so often.
I know i won’t be doing things like Naxx. but if i can get into semi good MC groups and still carry my weight it’s good enough for me…
Was thinking of going 29/11/11 for feral charge and increased dps from spells, but im not sure i like giving up so many healing talents/NS
Bro this game is 15 years old, just Google it, literally EVERYTHING has been theorycrafted to death by now
spec doesnt even matter much for a druid in mc. you are there for innervate and MotW. you can lean towards tank, heal or dps, it hardly matters
in pvp you have some options. the best Flag carry build is deep feral+ Natures swiftness. this build is only really good for running flags in pvp though
you can also go feral dps, which has omen of clarity, heart of the wild and furor. this is not as good at running flags, but you can be useful in AV and AB
The 0/30/21 spec is your friend.
I used to run this back in vanilla as a flag carrying druid and it was awesome.
HoTW/NS build, stam leather for PVP, normal healer gear for PVE (high int/+heal cloth/leather)
Put all talents into balance. You should be able to completely fill all of them with 51 talents except for the very last one, Moonkin Form.
That’s probably the best way to go for both PvE and PvP
Some of ya’ll are hilarious. thanks though. taught me these forums aren’t really for questions but more feeding trolls.
Cheers! Thank Bizzel, Tubb and Kiph
1/29/21 is a really good PvP build. Whether you focus on bear or cat talents doesn’t matter that much. It depends which classes you want to duel outside if Ironforge tbh.
There are balance/resto builds that are decent for flag running too, but realistically you want Feral Charge no matter how you build and 29/11/11 has issues with mana.
That’s what i was afraid of.
Right now it looks like i won’t really have much options but to farm gold and respec every time i wanna raid/pvp. I was hoping to avoid that haha
There is no cookie cutter build for druids…
most pvp specs are hybrid feral/resto or moonkin/resto… you might be able to look at someones build, but if your playstyle doesnt match, you will not be good.
That’s understandable Beareve, however I figured there’d be a happy medium between pvp and pve builds as long as you’re not pushing either hardcorejobless
Alts are for farming gold.
Or just run lots of dungeons as a tank.
Resto druids in general are the worst healers in the game. They don’t provide very effective healing. Battle Rez, Mark of the Wild, and Innervate are their strong points.
If you want to pvp spec into pvp feral build. You should be able to raid with it, off tank with it, dps with it. As long as you find a competent guild that is more concerned with bringing reliable people than anything else.
IF you wanted to do pvp healing you really should have been paladin/shaman/priest. Paladin are the best pvp healers, but priests are very close. Shaman are slight behind priests.
Solid response Surrender.
I wasn’t aware of that. But I can’t say im prepared to reroll… haha
my fav is a feral/resto powershift build.
the (very) basic jist of the build is to outlast your opponent…while wearing them down with dots/bleeds…
so combat would go something like(depending on spec)
moonfire/swarm… shift to cat… apply bleeds… shift to caster apply hots as needed… shift to bear for mitigation etc… rinse and repeat…
like i said… very basic rundown as everything else is situational
Yeah, Druids aren’t really PvP healers, although healing is an important part of why they’re good. The versatility offered by Druids is actually super strong and real in PvP, whereas in PvE it doesn’t matter that much.
NS+HT a warrior who is about to go down in PvP can literally win you a fight with a single GCD, even if you’re not a “healer” as such.
Bearevement does that involve going 8 into balance tree?
That sucks Stature. I was aware druids weren’t great in the beginning of vanilla but i thought our patch brought some nice changes that made em better.
Guess i shoulda done more research but boy it’s a bit late to reroll considering my work schedule haha

take the space out
this is a power shift PvP spec that I personally have success with… so take it with a grain of salt, because this fits my personal playstyle… but you are welcome to it if it will help you…
This spec has some nice talents for any form you are in… good damage and decent survival…
Pretty solid looking too.
Can’t say i’ve seen anything like it, even when i google random druid specs haha
I’m fairly new to druids, so instead of my feral tank Dodge gear I should be using more int gear for pve?
if you’re healing, yes… if you’re tryin to tank, then you’ll want high armor/stam/dodge
