My body is ready to make a Vulpera druid. Not that I know what the Vulpera forms would look like, it got me wondering. From the sounds of things, 10.1.7 is going to be a druid-themed patch (I think).

It hasn’t been explicitly stated, but it’s basically confirmed - a timeline:
april 2022 - Brian Holinka states in an interview with mrGM that they are “working towards enabling all races for all classes” - same interview confirmed rogue, mage and priest for everyone with DF launch.
spring 2023 - interview with Ion, who doubles down on the “working towards” with Evoker being a very likely exception.
DF timeline so far:
10.0 - rogue, mage and priest for everyone
10.0.5 - monk for everyone
10.1.5 - warlock for everyone
Some people have been skeptic about it actually happening, but the treatment for Warlocks basically sealed the deal - draenei and lightforged as Warlocks shows that they are ready to upset some people for the enjoyment of most.
Now for druids specifically:
They are, along with shaman and paladins, the last three of the expected classes to be unlocked for everyone (evoker confirmed unlikely, demon hunter expected unlikely) and we are the class the requires the most artwork by far of those three.
Patch 10.2 will center around Amirdrassil and the Emerald Dream, so that would be a fitting window for doing Druids first - we’ll see when they announce the patch in this or probably next week.
If we don’t get confirmation for 10.2, then I’d doubt we’ll see it before 11.0. All just speculation though.

Is that what they’re calling it? I worked with a dude named “Amir” once. Wonder what it’s supposed to mean. Might as well have just called it “Brad tree” or “Stevedrassil”.
Like the other world trees, it probably just means something in the Night Elf language
I really hope this is the case. I want nothing more at the moment. I also feel like Druid is the most art intensive one, but the majority of the assets are already in the game I think. Models might need a bit of polish though.

I’m completely the same - I’m tired of my male night elf druid (im EU hence why having a lvl 10 US character)
All we can do while waiting for confirmation is guess work, I’d be absolutely thrilled to see Druids announced with 10.2, but I don’t really believe it. Could also be that they want to save the remaining classes for 11.0 as a feature for selling more.
would be cool if they added Nightborne Demon Hunter and Void Elf Demon Hunter atleast

That’s what I would guess as well. Void Elf is a freebie since it’s just blood elves, and then they’d have to give the Horde a race as well.
For all it’s worth, they might give DH to everyone, I’m just skeptic of it - don’t have any proof or suggestion from Blizzard that i’m correct however.
I vote for a Vulpera druid too.

I think doing so is fine. Just cause dh were only elves doesn’t mean aa something can’t happen where anyone Cana follow that path.
I’m very happy they are finally expansions the world to allow anyone to be anything. How it was before was needlessly stifling.

I hope they revisit the current races and give them all unique forms first. No more different color moonkins, and no more some races having unique travel and underwater forms and some not.
And the class mount. That thing is so night-elven I’ve just hated it from day 1. I doubt they’ll ever go back and give everyone their own though.

i dont expect it to happen this xpac. maybe next at the earliest since it has the most work needed to be done of the 3 left. pallys will probably be next since they just need a racial mount then shaman since they need totems and probably a wolf form or 2 and druids being last since its bear cat boomie travel and flying form needed to be created for almost every race in the game since so few can be druids already. depending on how the forms look though im either gonna roll a dwarf undead or voidelf druid when it happens since i expect those 3 to have the best looking forms

Would rather have them add new cat forms to the existing druids than create new races for druids when you can’t use the race-specific forms. They need to do something like they did in Legion where they added a bunch of new cat forms (and bear for yall guardians and heck even moonkin) to the class.
You act as though a massive company like actiblizzard must carefully ration out very limited resources.
They already have a rig for cat form, its not like they cant slap a unique skin on for each race in a very short time, then once thats done they can make interesting new options that every race can use from there
