Classic WoW adds are everywhere…I see them all the time… does blizzard have no faith in putting out some BFA Ads???

Blizzard knows that if any new players start with retail in this patch, they will be turned off from the game forever because it’s so bad. So they advertise classic instead

Why would they? Shadowlands is the next expansion. There’s no reason to make ads right now for a Q4 release. Maybe 3 months prior. But not now.

I never see any Classic WoW ads. I see retail ads all the time… regularly… daily.
Classic WoW is a ghost town, at least on any server I’ve checked. Talk about a bare-bones monotonous journey a new player would have in Classic WoW. I’d quit MMORPGs forever if that was my first experience in this era of gaming.

Pretty sure they did when BFA was about to go live, and was actually relevant. lol I know I wouldn’t advertise this dumpster fire of an xpac to draw ppl in/back in, so Classic is a good compromise.

Thing is I don’t remember seeing BFA ads ever where CLASSIC ads are still everywhere 6months after launch.

I’ve seen some Classic adds while watching things on Hulu. It always gets my kids excited and start yelling at me - “OMG MAMA YOU PLAY THAT!! THAT’S YOUR GAME!!” lol It’s cute.
As for anywhere else, however, I haven’t seen a thing.

Classic is a much easier and more social game than retail, it’s the perfect new player experience for an MMO.
Retail has many kinks to work out still.

The classic ads on YouTube and Hulu are the tavern jolly with Leroy Jenkins or they’re about ZG and a zoom out on Hakkar.
The banner ads I see everywhere is usually just Ragnaros with World of warcraft classic logo

Yeah devs gave up on retail. That is why there are no more new expansions coming. /sigh
You do realize how ads work on browsers right? If not, I recommend you do some research because you definitely don’t get it. There is a reason you are seeing Classic ads. I myself am not seeing them.

I might agree with you. Currently there’s too many systems in the game and nonsense holding it back but Shadowlands is looking to remedy a decent amount of it. I hope they continue in 10.0.
Well Classic is definitely easier.
I am not sure its really a more social game. When I tried playing it the only “socializing” I ever saw was people patting themselves on the back for playing a “harder” game in general chat.
BFA is done, they will start advertising Shadowlands when release date is released.

So? And yet you are on your Classic toon. Anyways, like I said, learn how ads work. I have seen more Shadowlands ads than Classic for me. Actually haven’t seen any Classic ads.
