Has anyone simmed SMF?

Has anyone looked at SMF with the talents that synergize with auto attack speed such as sidearm, wild strikes, and dancing blades? It looks fun on paper.

I haven’t in a long time and it was a huge dps lost.

Why don’t you do some simming and report the results here for us?

I didn’t have analogous weapons but I’ll get to it.

You can search and add items like one handed weapons to your sim in raidbots.

I messed around with it and tried the auto attack talents out. They all suck. You don’t feel the increase in speed at all. Thane feels so slow compared to slayer but neither had good results with SMF.

Smf is just tuned poorly and is a dead talent for retail. They need to either bring it back to providing parity like it did during MoP/WoD before it’s removal going into legion.
Or they need to make it augment all 1h weapons to have 2h stats for fury.

Also moving it to be a baseline passive as opposed to an optional talent. Having a choice here would be fantastic for the rpg portion of this mmorpg.

I’m pretty sure they sim all talents with all gear to find out whats best. If SMF ever became better or on par it would most likely end up on the front page of wowhead. . then promptly get hotfixed into the ground.

I’ve always agreed with this. Increasing damage by single digit % isn’t going to counter the stack-sticks that are 2hnd weapons. I loved Fury before TG, after that it never felt the same.

I was playing it last season and it was super fun! Mind you, I’m more of a pvper but for PvE content it is a blast. I don’t know about numbers, I just know I enjoyed it.
