Revendreth is a worthy Castlevania. Technically it is grander than Castlevania as shocking as it may sound but I looked at a picture of Dracula’s Castle as well as Castlevania’s own maps and it is quite inferior to Castle Nathria.
Unfortunately Castlevania has one wonder that Revendreth lacks… The Long Library… The greatest wonder of Castlevania and Revendreth lacks it!
Incidentally anyone proclaiming oneself ruler of Dracula’s Castle would wind up reviving the place to become the Lord of the Castle. After Soma rejected the title of Dark Lord and caused it to collapse by smashing the place’s core Orlox promptly declared himself Lord of the Castle and revived it on that account(and got killed by Death sending the Castle crashing down yet again).
It would be nice if there was a TV Show that served as a Sequel to the Aria/Dawn of Sorrows Games where some greedy sorcerer upon hearing of Orlox reviving Dracula’s Castle by declaring himself it’s lord decides to declare himself Lord of Dracula’s Castle and use the automatically revived Castle for Tourism while he fights off Death’s constant attempts to get rid of him!
The Castle reviving would of course cause certain old Villains to come back such as Carmilla and Shaft.
Incidentally the Grimoires of Souls were used to resurrect Dracula in the form of Soma Cruz from their Pages(the Grimoire of Souls Game went offline right after this reveal) so any Castlevania TV Show Post Chronicles of Sorrow would have Dracula as a Villain as well trying to claim the Castle from any pompous Sorcerer who declares himself the Lord of the Castle.
Bonus Points if Dracula resembles and sounds like Denathrius. Dracula has had horns in various forms so he should be capable of sprouting horns to become a Denathrius-type character.
No, that would just ruin Castlevania for me. Not all vampire things have to follow the classic music. Imagine hearing that tune while playing Twilight.
