Has anyone ever

Seen an increase in strat/mara botters yet? It’s actually declined on my server, alliance side

Still kinda miffed about the hotfix, but I have 5 accounts so shrug

but what about the million hunter bots in the world leveling?

They’re multiplying

So I think the prediction is that it decreased for now, while bots are setting up so they can circumvent this enitrely later on.

But hey, let’s hope it actually hs positive effects on botting

Oh yeah I have noticed that. Still, I multibox 5 toons and just do grind/gather quests and level pretty quickly.

No doubt this is going to increase the cost of boosts.

Notice that Blizzard is owned majorly by a China-based company. Who also owns the majority of gold farming websites/services? Could it be that Blizzard is trying to inflate the cost of gold? wink

OP must be a troll because furious mages in every other thread has said this did nothing to inconvenience a single botter and punishes innocent players because blizzard’s CEO makes too much money or something

This isn’t a specific case or location, it’s a knee jerk bandaid to avoid spending the mental capacity to fix the issue correctly.

It should decrease slgihtly as the botters work out how to effectively handle the new rules. Once that is figured out the numbers should ramp back up. To fill the void. Just like how Fel lotus was dumped early the adjustment to what is to come is going to take a bit of time for the people the people that dont follow the rules to get into the swing of things again.

As long as the incentive and profit is there botters will find a way.

And with any luck Blizzard is watching carefully to see those changes in patterns and habit to help them combat the bot problem more effectively.

Thanks.

Because that has worked out so well currently, when they could run literally 24 hours a day in instances.

No, but I’ll tell ya what I have seen in a mere day of this change being announced. Mara runs went up to 15g a pop, ZG boosts went up by 20g per lockout, and no ones offering Deadmines, stockades, or even SM boosts anymore because those runs generally go for only 3-5g and the boosters don’t want to make less money now with their 30 a day runs.

imagine having to form a group to do the group content, almost as if it was an intended gameplay design?

madness!

Which one?

I know of Tencent, but AFAIK, they only hold 4.9%

Tencent took part in Activision Blizzard splitting from Vivendi as a passive investor in 2013 and now owns less than 4.9% of the shares as of 2017

Naw I just multiboxed 5 mages because I saw this coming
