I was just taking the taxi gryphon from Booty Bay to Stormwind. I got up for a moment and when I returned to my computer I was dead in the middle of Elwynn Forest. has this happened to anyone else?

I am actually curious what caused your death. The answer is yes I have seen people bug out and fall on a FP on stream.
However there are tons of FP that are extremely low flying as melee they buzz my head sometimes. Wonder if you can be Targeted and Dotted up while on a FP effectively killing you. Wouldn’t surprise me with the amount of bugs going on.

Yes that happened to me after a reset. And I saw several other people dead on the ground as well.

It happens to me sometimes, but that’s because I’m an international player and I use subpar internet at home.
Yeah when the DDOS was happening, I was getting “instance not found” errors. Fell into the sea and was stuck there for a while, releasing wasn’t doing anything due to the super lag. Eventually I was able to rez at the gy with a hefty repair bill, I think it kept counting releases as rez attempts

Huh? What’s the correlation between your connection quality and flight path killing you?
I have latency issues, so sometimes that happens.
How could high latency possibly cause your death on a flight path? What?
The heck do I know? I don’t understand this stuff. This is just my hypothesis.
I remember a couple of us locks gathering up at a certain spot and dotting people up in flight. Don’t remember if it was vanilla tho and they patched it pretty quick.
I am an excellent flyer. I was totally smashed last night after a lot of rum shots and I never fell off the flying mount. #handsofsteel
I am also an international player with poor internet, maybe that explains it

Happened to me during ddos weekend. Fell off into burning steppes. I was lucky enough to fall where I could run to Elwyn. My son had the same thing but he fell off in northern bs and promptly died.
yes you can, because I was able to target and give int buff to people flying over head. So maybe they can attack as well, if in PvP mode.
i did it flying to Theramore from Gad, fell into the ocean lol. Died from exhaustion trying to make it to shore.
Ive 100% buffed players passing on FPs. DoTing them might be possible too.
This was happening to some guildies last night that were flying through Kalimdor.
I died once on my flight path, but that has only been from server issues the first few days. I was flying in Stormwind and when I entered the server the server basically lagged up, another person and I were basically stuck at our FP landing spot on the gryphon for about a minute. After the server caught up, I was teleported back away from the Stormwind FP spot, to near where you enter SW by the bridge, without the gryphon, so I fell to my death.
