Or is this one of those urban legend things with people logging out and getting their 10 alts in for a kill and wasting their time.

I dunno about that trick.

But you can get this “symbol of graal” toy from the ankoan. I used it before I killed silence the last time I killed him and got the mount.

Try it and see if it works.
