Like I really want to collect candy to get Feline Familiar, but I’ve felt so drained.
Yes, thats burn out.
Take a break; the pet is far less important than your mental health.
If you take a break now, and stay out til the expansion launch, you can come back and icy veins will probably have a class guide ready by then for you to streamline the leveling process.
this made me tear up just now.
You should go take a break and relax. Don’t overdo the gaming lol
Yes, I am a little done with it.
I’ve been taking alts each week to kill Antros for the Sandworn relics to send to alts for the mog, then I’ve been doing the Sha, Oondasta, Nalak triangle with about 13 alts, then running a few alts for the Tazavesh mount. The idea of running some alts around for candy bucket XP is less than appealing right now, plus I’m not in a huge hurry to level low alts right now anyway with the new expac so close.
I might take a break, or at least just slow down. I need the energy for when I have to re-do a handful of talent trees next week then make and level a couple Dracthyr in Nov.
I’m sure there are plenty of people who do a lot more, but these things are wearing me down, so I think a semi break is in order for me.
Even told the VCU folks that I couldn’t meet next week because of the prepatch, and I REALLY want all the prepatch transmog sets, so that’s something else I gotta mindlessly do.
I actually did today, for the first time in a long time.
First it started with frustrations in SL over yesterday and today. Yesterday - trying to do the big turtle pet battle in Bastion (dear devs, please don’t put level 60 mobs that aggro and kill level 50s just trying to do the pet battle - thanks), today, dying repeatedly to elite birds in that void part of Bastion, and then going to Goldshire and trying to put the fires out with people parking their ginormous mounts over the water trough. I was hoping their moms would tell them it was time for bed and to turn their computers off, but luckily we were able to complete it despite the public nuisances.
Thankfully I think I only like the look of the plate prepatch set, so that might be the only one I go for…maybe.
No, I have not been feeling exhausted by WoW - mostly because I stopped playing months ago. I’ll at least level some characters in Dragonflight, but my days of logging in daily may be done.
yeah, i want the green one because it goes with my tabard, I want the blue one because it goes with the lightbringer tabard, and I want the purple and flame one because it goes with the tcg tabards. T.T
I find a good counter to burn out is to just focus on one character. It takes away a lot of the repetition that is the main cause of burn out.
If you’re trying to get a mount or something, try it on that character, but leave it at that. If you don’t get it, no big deal. Your life will still be the same. No one will respect you more or less.
Facing time consuming tedious tasks, especially when you’ve done it before, is horribly daunting. That’s when you say “once is enough”.
Just pick a class that you really like, and don’t try to be everything. Ask others to help you. Buy things off the AH.
The game wasn’t meant to be played as a solo player with 50 alts.
Whenever Blizz does something dumb I am disappointed and demotivated a little more.
Not really, but I have been doing other stuff other than World of Warcraft like learning Blender, Video Editing, and other games such as Monster Hunter Rise with me brother, Elden Ring with the lads, and more.
Helps keep the fire a-goin for when I do want to spend some time upon Azeroth.
this is my only character. I only play my Hunter when I need to farm a rare spawn.
I’ve been feeling like dancing.
*Grabs a random Tauren and does the soft shoe…
Welcome to the burnout club, I want to play WOW really badly but I can’t. I boosted a rogue today with my DF thing I just bought, I only did PVP because I didn’t feel like doing keys or whatever. It’s so hard, I just want DF to come.
I don’t even know what to do with the boost I got.
Checked out ff14 Halloween event this year and the amount of detail they put into it is mind blowing. You would have to spend hours just walking around to see everything.
I love moments in gaming like that where I’m just scratching my head thinking “how?”
Join the club. I logged in today after 3 weeks, only reason I logged in is so I can try to get certain items from old raids.
I will do that for a draenei rogue next week. the prerorde button is there. Just need draeneir rogue turned on next week.
Classic breaks to level paladin for giggles.
