Harronir are a mistake, just like Earthen and Dractyrs

Sethrak would have been a perfect addition.
Tauren may have fur too, but I refuse to compare a race based on a feared mythical legend with the textbook definition of a DeviantArt furry race. The Horde has become an absolute joke ever since Vulpera joined and ever since Blizzard thought it was a brilliant idea to cram one Alliance reskin after another into the Horde.

My only problem with Dracthyr is that they only have one customisation when it comes to armour(shoulders).

I get them not wanting to update old models/tier pieces for them but they should have had customisation from DF Dungeon/Raid gear forwards. I’m not expecting anything to change come midnight but it’d be nice to have more mog options than shoulders and weapon(s).

Tauren was more serius or generic to the Greek Mythologie, is more us come of the Minotaurs, Neither Worgen nor Pandaria had the appearance and heritage of mythology and what existed in Warcraft, being from Gilneas before the curse of Arugal.

Vulveras is the most synonymous with the characteristics of today’s furries, who tend to dress more like pet league team costumes from some sport like football or basketball, instead of something more humanoid like a Thundercat or Worgen from the Breath of Fire series.

It’s completely unrelated or irrelevant, I would have already mentioned it, but you are DECENT compared to the filth that is the Lizard People and the Vulperas.

Race fail They complained so much about bringing in new races, especially about Ogre and Naga armor issues, because they became the worst when they didn’t include pants or were naked in that version.

THEY ARE COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS.

I can’t help but think of those tiny Chihuahuas in their colorful little costumes whenever I see a Vulpera. They just look completely ridiculous in the Horde. And yet, that image is still far more pleasant than thinking about how this race mainly caters to the furry community and their… particular preferences…

Personally for me, love my Evoker. While I don’t play her as often as I did during Dragonflight as I’ve moved to maining a Holy Priest, I still try to keep her fairly geared, plus the Evoker class is generally pretty fun to play. Although I feel Devestation could use some kind of buff, but outside of that, I enjoy the class and race combo but I can understand why people disliked them from the start, such as tying Evokers to Dracthyr and limiting how transmog works on them when in their dragon form.

As for the Haranir? I’m honestly rather excited to make and play one. My thoughts on them originally was more of an “eh, they’re alright,” but over the course of the expansion they’ve grown on me, at least as much as they can with how limited their presences has been in the expansion.

But what really is selling me on making a Haranir is the amount of customization they are seemingly getting. Their druid forms look amazing (friend of mine loves their tree form :3) and honestly, they just look really good. I sadly had no interest in the Earthen even after I unlocked them. While I think they are interesting as a race/culture, I just didn’t have interest in making/playing one personally, but I will probably make a Haranir Druid as soon as I unlock them in Midnight. :3

I’m not sure I’d say that any of the new races have been a “mistake”; some have been scuffed to be sure, but none of them have been objectively wrong.

As to harronir, I’m interested in them since they’re the point of divergence as a race between trolls and elves and appear to be very much their own thing removed from either.

I can fix that, just replace the furry elves for satyr

problem solved!

Also this thread is the first time in 20 years I have heard anyone suggest satyr as a playable race.

Worgen had at least 3 zones, a dungeon and multiple quest lines in Vanilla and shouldn’t be compared with vulpera. I am positive are only there to counteract the gnomes size for people crying in PVP and to keep propping up the horde with “cute” races.

Sethrak would fall under the greater Furry catalogue.

Goldshire existed long before Vulpera got added

Fine and popular are two different things.

This word, I don’t think it means what you what you think it means. I’ve seen just as much if not more call for Sethrak, Naga, Arakkoa, Vrykul, San’layn and Etherials as I have for Ogres. Hell even Murlocs and OG Mechagnomes are at least as much as Ogres.

But even then, the number of people on these forums calling for those races are an absolutely miniscule percentage of the population. The only reliable data we can go on about how races will go over with the whole playerbase is the numbers of people actually playing the races.

And of all the races added after BC, the only ones that can be seen as truly successful are Velfs. The only others that come close are Vulpera, cause cute, Zandalari, my guess is because Druids, Dark Irons for racials and Dracthyr because Evokers.

So unless you give Ogres something unique that gives them an edge, like a unique class, spec or massively overpowered racial, a huge, fat, ugly race is never going to be anything more than a novelty race played by the few people who need to be different.

What a great argument against Vulpera in the Horde, blueberry elf with the Murloc plushie helmet.
Then take the Chihuahuas into the Alliance. They would certainly feel right at home in Goldshire.

You’re bad at this, you know that?

The topic was about Vulpera within the Horde. Somehow you turn it over to the Alliance and use a race that makes even less sense than Vulpera… which is an art in itself, especially with the corresponding outfit and then you’re surprised by the response?

Your post was trying to make Vulpera/Furries as solely degenerates, when that’s not only false, there’s plenty of horny and degeneracy for years from non-furries. But no, demonize the fennec foxes for some reason .

I agree. If they had a whole zone dedicated to satyrs, the allied race would probably be satyrs. But they didn’t. They went with haronir, so we get haronir. This isn’t rocket science.

Allied races are a mistake.

Shal’dorei should be part of the Alliance, and the way to add them to the faction should simply be through customizations for the Night Elves. Since Legion, they have never been relevant except for Thalysra’s marriage. And their customizations don’t even compare to the NPCs; they are ugly and inferior. If they were customizations for the existing Night Elves, they would be much, much better. Lore-wise, they had already incorporated Eldrethalas into the faction and added playable Mages for Night Elves. Shal’dorei even have a tree as their main element that freed them from dependence on the Nightwell. If there’s anyone who knew how to mix Arcane and Nature, it was a Night Elf.

Void Elves should be part of the Horde. It simply doesn’t make sense that they were expelled under similar circumstances to how the Quel’dorei themselves were expelled, for studying magic. This is completely hypocritical. They should just be customizations for the existing Blood Elves and wouldn’t need countless contortions to give them relevance because they share the same backgrounds as the Blood Elves, and now they have to have a new identity.

Lightforged, Mag’har, Highmountain, Vulpera, Mechagnomes, Dark Iron, and Earthen should just be customizations for the Draenei, Orcs, Tauren, Goblins, Gnomes, and Dwarves. Except for the Vulpera, all these races have practically the same leadership, or their leaders are literally relatives. Goblin could have some plot involving them participating and getting involved with them, since their appearance in Vol’dun, they have never been relevant; I doubt two people could even name their leader. It would have been much simpler for them to just have something to do with Goblins and combine their plots. The only difference between Gnomes and Mechagnomes is that Gnomes were democratic and chose their leader, while Mechagon was a monarchy, where its monarch literally gave power to Tony Stark.

Earthen, seriously, is anyone going to trade their Dwarf for one of these? They are just an amalgamation of the existing Dwarves and should only be customizations.

Zandalari and Kul Tiran are the only allied races that I look at and think they have something interesting, but even so, they could have been streamlined into the existing races and done what many have been begging for for decades: different body types. They could have simply given Humans the option to be skinny or thicc, and this could eventually spread to other races like Trolls. The Zandalari could just be normal, upright Trolls. And if the option for different body types were added today, they could even have Amanis.

No allied race has a reason to exist if it doesn’t make us level up for a different hairstyle.

Allowing gnomes to speak in public was a very big mistake.

They should have, but they preferred furries with fur and resembling cartoonish wolves from a mascot of some sports team league, to something more serious like a Tauren or something more respectable like Tuskar or Pandaren.

… they’re Fennecs…
