I just tried to harpoon a mob to get pulled towards it. Didn’t work… five times in a row. This has been happening more and more frequently for me. Any other survival hunters having this issue?

Haven’t had this issue on my Survival Hunter so far. Is it like specific mob types, or elites? or just everything randomly?
Are you targeting lunkers?
Editing to add: BM Hunter with zero issues all day so far.
Could be an addon error? Have have many issues with them locking up a ui interface, and it might be that the new Blizzard ui is not registering you actions. Try just turning them all of, if you have any, and see what happens.
Specific mob? : Nope. Tried and failed with elite djardin, non-elite djardin, worldbreakers, crabs, elementals, proto-drakes, ect. Not targeting lunkers.
UI: haven’t had any issues with my UI. No LUA errors or things failing to load because of addons.
It does seem to happen more frequently if there’s a terrain level discrepancy (if the mob is higher or lower than me on the map). Sometimes, it’s just me trying to hop a lava pool by harpooning a mob.
AFAIK Harpoon is for lunkers only, targeting other mobs will yield zero results.

“Face a Lunker then throw”.
It has pretty strict line of sight requirements. I’ve had instances where I couldn’t harpoon across the top of a slope that looked like a straight shot to the naked eye but touched the terrain just enough to make the ability fail.
I’m referring to the survival hunter talent, Harpoon.

It won’t work if it’s going to pull you through an object or terrain… literally just jumping in situations like the once you mentioned, will allow it to function.
Wait til you try it on old mobs.
It doesn’t refresh its cooldown.
