the “currency” used to upgrade regular pieces into Tier pieces…
do we get these weekly or every other week…if we’re suppose to get them every week I only got 1 which was from last week and didn’t get one this week.
Usually until the end of a season, it’s every 2 weeks. Same for sparks.

Why do they still let you use this to transform into non tier pieces. I know its a classic stupid mistake but god damn what is the point. Could at least be a prompt saying this is not tier idk I’m just an idiot and venting.
It’s to help obtain the full transmog without endlessly grinding the raid

There are multiple things this does that benefits us.

Not always, but sometimes the item it converts to has a superior stat allocation for your given build than the piece you are converting.

The items it converts belong to the same transmog set as the actual teir pieces. It is converting that item to the raid set. So when you only do M+ this can be one of the only ways you earn the entire transmog appearance from the raid.

The problem I have is, why make it capped at 8 for the season? I play PvE and PvP. I just returned to wow this expansion and didn’t know much about how the catalyst worked. I had about 6 when I first started playing. I used them to make tier sets for my pve experience not realizing they didn’t replenish quickly.
Now I can’t use the catalyst to turn 597 pvp items in the tier set. Im left using raid gear in my arenas, which is a massive nerf from the 639 ilvl I should have. my only option is to raid mythics and hope I get the pieces I need, but no way in hell am I gonna be able to complete mythic nerub
They should elim the requirement for this catalyst for pvp items and give players more catalysts so they can get the tier set as their gear gets better. Makes no sense imo

I have had 0/8 for weeks. They aren’t replenishing. Is there some quest I need to do to get more of them?
iDK, I think it’s a bug. Something similar happened to my evoker early in the season (I got one charge, and as my friends (and my other toon) got more, i had to rely on more random means to get tier), and at some point it was mysteriously fixed.
Another week has passed and the harmonized silk didn’t replenish.
