CPU bound I really wish this unfounded bunk would stop. There is no CPU bound in WoW.

I can take ANY CPU even an older model and I have a 7 year old CPU with 4c/4t 3.0Ghz i5 works great in WoW. I only upgraded my video card and now everything is better… graphics is where WoW needs help not CPU, my CPU is barely over 40% when WoW is running… so that means the CPU isn’t taxed at all…

I’m answering this more for other people who read this thread. All games are bound by something otherwise they would all be running at 1k+ FPS. From your post I gather your previous GPU held back performance that your CPU is capable of. With a GPU upgrade you were able to achieve higher performance from your CPU. Also taxing a CPU is not a way to gauge performance. I’ve seen plenty examples in my AMD CPU’s running at lower demand levels yet not offering the same FPS as my Intel CPUs even if they were taxed more (and on occasion vice versa)
