gm it’s me another resto druid complaining about a bug blizzard doesn’t want to address
Maybe if you stopped calling it a bug you’d get somewhere
Because it prioritizing pets over injured players is okay? No, it’s not. So nice, having it hit full hp pets, instead of the people who are injured around the person I used it on. Thanks blizz.
That’s how it was in Wrath therefore it is not a bug. You want something changed, not fixed.
Ignite munching was a bug from wrath. It got fixed in cata. It is currently fixed in wotlkc (just recently as well).
So they do fix bugs that existed in wotlk.
And fiery weapon warrior thingy enchant also worked in Wrath. And they changed it.
What gives.
Along with other dozen+ changes.
Imagine simping for blizzard so hard that you’re against fixing bugs for D-tier healer spec.
That is when you throw a couple insta cast lifeblooms on the one’s that were not covered.
so they should revert the change to Ignite munching and Deep Wounds munching? cause that’s how it worked in Wrath originally
I like pets getting healed from wild growth as a dps player that play pet classes I’d rather they don’t fix it because healers won’t target pets at all anyway ![]()
If only they would apply that sort of “well we fixed this later on” to every class rather than to the classes / builds that the devs play.
Right? Twin valks still doesnt trigger explosive trap. Yet gets hit from other ground effects. And thats a major hit to hunter dps…
But that’s the whole thing. Blizzard stated that those are bugs and not working as intended. So they were fixed.
And they have stated that Wild Growth prioritizing pets is not a bug and that it is working as intended.
Your healers don’t wanna parse or what
Whenever I think about the state of resto druids it makes me glad I quit Wrath.
It’s in my top 10 reasons for quitting before killing the LK when I originally wanted to. I raided from Oct '19 - March '23 as a resto druid and it was totally considered acceptable until recently.
I HATED playing boomkin and just love healing but had zero interest in swapping to paladin especially. Truly I’d find a root canal to be about 100x more fun playing pally. This is not an exaggeration.
Hopefully, a change comes for you all. Keep pushing. ![]()
The standard UI is awful for targetting other players’ pets. But beyond that I doubt any pet class would be grateful to the healer that let the tank die because they were busy topping up the kitties, ghouls and imps.
Holy paladins will figure out tank healing. You having to cast an extra rejuv isn’t gonna make it or break it unless you’re just a bad healer anyway.
Or - you can just accept that pets are the lowest priority for heals and barely take damage anyway, so this whole conversation is a moot point and you shouldn’t take it so personally.
Okay again. If you want this you have to do the same with other healers or else it’s not fair when some of my spells does the same thing.
Do other healers have this problem? I thought it was pretty specific to Wild Growth since it caps out at healing five party members.
Someone said holy priests do and therefore resto druids should be fine with everything.
