Hardest class to master? Highest Skill-cap?

We’re talking about skill ceiling, let’s try to read at a basic level.

Let’s not confuse powerful and outplay potential for difficulty and complexity to learn. If high ceiling just meant good then, yes…Rogues are very good.

Do you know what “skill ceiling” means?

The overall potential of a class in relation to complexity/difficulty to perform at the top of that potential.

Ah, so you just cannot connect the concepts.

Any class with more control has a higher skill ceiling.

Even if shiv one-shot every opponent in the game, rogues would still have an extremely high skill ceiling.

Actually its this: Skill Ceiling The maximum level of skill something can be used at

yes
exactly

but mostly because most people don’t even play rogue that way
a lot of people just play it like a meathead idiotproof dps spec without bothering to learn how to completely control the tempo of a match

Always has been and always will be mage IMO.

Close second sub rogue.

Druid gets a nod because form weaving is a skill that takes a while to get good at. Not the hardest but def not for new players

Hunter used to have more control than it does now, even fully kitted at level 70.

It had the same kit + explosive knockback and binding shot stun with scatter, trap, readiness, etc. MoP hunter is probably #1 of all time.

It was once the highest skill cap class until it was gutted.

Rogue has, in the past, not been as high as it is now. However, Blizzard has done well with its design.

Mage has ping-ponged because they had their control gutted at one point and it has been added back slowly.

I suspect that DF arcane mage might have the potential to be one of the highest skill cap specs of all time.

Druid is overrated, especially feral.

If you mean by giving them several get out of jail free cards while also heavily dumbing down the complexity and skill of the class than sure they’ve done well.

I’m not sure you understand what constitutes “complexity and skill”.

You seem mad.

You should try multi-classing, it makes you far less biased.

I do.

I’m not. I’m pointing out the problem with rogue having several get out of jail free cards while also getting way easier to play. Though I probably look mad to anyone who mains rogue and is dependent and it being busted for rating.

I do.

You should follow your own advice.

Basically whatever class any given poster mains is the highest skill cap. Every other class eats crayons.

UH DK highest skill cap. Every other class eats crayons.

I agree that Hunter used to be one of the highest, if not highest skill cap.

Landing traps and positioning is no joke on hunter. Lately though it seems less important than in the past.

Otherwise I would’ve included them
