What’s the hardest spec to do hardcore with?
The one spec that will never make it without help
Well the hardest class used to be warrior, but now that might be the easiest since there’s the auction house and everyone has banker accounts. Any class that highly gear dependent is really God for this version of hardcore.
Hopefully they do make a solo self-found mode, or at least a self/group-found mode. And with extra challenges like nudists, no talents used, etc. In that instance of hardcore, which I believe is true hardcore, warrior is the hardest by far.

If you say “spec” then I would imagine the non-frost mages would be highly squishy.

definitely warrior
and i mean full solo ssf not twinking yourself with another char or having a healbot following you.
2 mobs your level on you can definitely kill you when you miss/dodge/parry too many times with a slow 2h and arent getting any rage to do anything.

You can always pop Hamstring and run away. Bloodrage if you’re rage starved from misses and blocks.
Hamstring is a surprisingly efficient early-game CC tool that gets very little recognition when everyone is discussing how hard warriors are.

Level AS prot.
Warriors are painfully slow but doable.
For the hardest, I think this is also, maybe even mainly a question of taste, habits and practise. Even geared to the teeth and buffed, I cannot play a Rogue to level 10 without dying, and I would have a hard time with a Lock.
Hardest spec is the solo melee hunter.
No pet, no ranged weapon, no grouping.
I like the pain.
What kind of lightweight uses a weapon?
If you’re not punching mobs to death can you even call yourself Hardcorpse?

My rogue is 17. Dual swords combat.
I’ve been only attacking mobs at or below. As long as I don’t engage 3 mobs I’m ok. Also, I avoid the red ridge whelps solo
None of my rogues ever use swords. Real rogues use daggers.

If you’re looking for an extra challenge, how about hitting 60 without using any talent points at all.

Every class is extremely easy if you’re just willing to farm mobs 6 levels under you the entire time. Difficulty is a matter of choice in every instance.

I do it naked. So do many other people. But only naked on a caster class. A melee doing that would be next to impossible. Naked on a druid.
