The only content that matters is the content that pays to keep the game going. To that end, Pet Battles are more important than Mythic Raiding.
Hell i have had a ticket into blizzard for a month now and its showing it will be 31 more days before they get to it. This is so ridiculous i just started back playing after 14 yes not playing i hate what i am seeing i paid up till nxt February and it wasnt cheap after that i may not pay to play this game anymore. I use to love playing wow but now its crazy to many things have changed and not for the good. I see why everyone is raising hell about wow now
Then don’t
I just want the feature to delete the chat box.
Ya know, I kinda feel the same way. I think for me it has a lot to do with playing it since 2005. It’s been fun and friends have come and go and you just can’t recreate the past. Sometimes lightning strikes and it is what it is. I believe a lot of the reason I’m considering hanging it up is me really. I’ve changed a lot. Gotten a bit older as well. I’m still gonna play for a bit more but this game isn’t what it used to be and neither am I. /cheers
It was definitely easier to make friends in 2006 for me for sure.
While I think criticisms are good, why do you need to justify paying for WoW? If its not your thing, don’t pay and play something you like
Hands tissues… Then don’t! Can has ur stuff I?
I agree. I’ve played many of the other MMOs out there. Everyone should stop and give them a try. I think you would be surprised at how much fun (better?) they are. I used to be a WoW player and came back to it last in my rotation of them all, and have found the following to be true:
- it is very much not user friendly
- quests don’t tell you where to go or what to do (yes, even if you read the text)
- requires the use of third party add-ons (addons) or searching the internet
- toxic community, antagonistic for various reasons
- inappropriate sexual communication and sexual harassment prevalent in guild chats
$15/mo is cheap. You get 4-5mo of an enormous amount of content for the same price as a AAA game. One month is cheaper than a night at the movies. And a whole year is cheaper than a vacation at Disneyland.
So yeah, it’s fairly cheap.
McDonald’s saw my post and they are discontinuing the McRib forever.
Let’s take a few things into consideration here. Every expansion up to this point has had systems on top of systems that have eaten up a TON of development time. This has cost the game content cadence, balancing issues etcetera.
This is blizzards first foray into updating the UI, more features will be added. Im totally fine with the current UI, could it be more feature ritch? Sure but at the cost of content? Nah I’ll take it the way it is. Besides the blizzard UI will run leaner and cleaner than community made add-ons. Which brings me to my last point.
WoW enjoys a large community of volunteer developers creating addon’s for their game. A lot of these guys develop out of love for the game. I doubt Blizzard aims to destroy that community. Also think of the money they save crowdsourcing UI improvements to addon developers.
Default blizzard UI isn’t made for everyone, feel free to use addon’s, that’s why they exist. There’s no need to trash developers efforts cause you don’t like it. You have options choose something else.
It’s easier than ever to justify paying for this game. What? In current year I’m paying $50 2022 instead of $60 2004 (which would be ~$94 2022) and $15 2022 instead of $15 2004 (or ~$23 2022). The average person has less discretionary funds than ever before thanks to the price of everything skyrocketing, and yet WoW hasn’t even increased its baseline prices to keep pace with inflation.
Blizzard is no charity, but it’s just reality that their notion of monetization for the game has made it a more and more reasonable purchase as the years have passed. They think they’ll make more money keeping the baseline game the same literal dollar cost while adding incredibly non-intrusive optional cosmetic purchases, and anyone who chooses not to buy those cosmetics benefits from that.
You dont need justifications in paying for this game. You think players are paying because its justified?
Nope! Its already been proven that 80% of players just pay subs because its blizzard and theyre doing it out of loyalty to the franchise. Some are sunk cost falacy wherein they already invested so they just need to keep on investing.
I was trying to help a new player today. They couldn’t tell where the compass was since it doesn’t have Cardinal directions labeled
I set the ui up in 4 minutes, saved it as a template and used it on all my characters by clicking one drop down box.
I love the new ui.
I ditched most of my addons
Well I find WoW is probably the cheapest form of entertainment I can come up with compared to other things I pay a lot for that I would call entertainment.
WoW = 12.95/mo using the 6 month plan
Satellite TV = 209.00 per month with 3 TV’s and the top package. I am always looking for better deals on this stuff.
Satellite Radio = $20 per month for 400 channels.
WoW is pretty cheap.
Paying for WoW and playing rogue in arena is the stupidest thing I have ever done, the second is paying for WoW and playing DH when Legion was live.
Two time points in history two saddest classes I played, it seems fate is playing with me or Bliz is. It is all too late for me to switch to other classes because the time spent (wasted) is huge.
Just when you think paying for your medical treatment after you broke your arm is the worst way of spending money, here comes Blizzard, who not only takes your money but also wastes your time.
Already canceled sub.
Right…because continuing to just pile garbage onto more garbage fixes the underlying problems…ya know it’s your line of thinking that leads to societal breakdowns. You have to fix the core functions of the game at some point and if you just keep kicking the can down the road you solve nothing.
You say systems don’t need messing with in the first place…in what tiny world do you think the current expansion design was working? Content creators, players, and subscription numbers themselves have been screaming at Blizz for the past 10 years that the way they are approaching expansion designs isn’t working. Professions have been broken for so long people have just accepted that as the norm, yet it’s a core design change that fixes underlying issues and the same with talents. Yeah, they just took what we had and put it in a new structure, but that’s kinda the point, they laid the groundwork for future expansions and it takes time to fix 10 years of crud. Your problem is you want a shiny back-of-the-box system to make you feel relevant for 2 years and Blizz is saying, nope nerf bat incoming and now you’re mad, lol if that’s how you feel good riddance, you are part of that problem and not the solution, enjoy your other games.
… half of what you said agreed with what i posted and the other half made no sense at all
