For those that do not know, when hitting level 60 as Self Found in Hardcore when you remove the Self Found option you get a buff on the Soul of Iron that persists called Unbroken Self Found Champion. This is the ONLY way of showing you hit 60 as Self Found unless you choose to never remove the Self Found option. This was broken with the SoD phase 4 patch, and to my knowledge even those that had previously had the buff, after logging out it is gone. I can confirm that currently upon receiving the unbroken buff now that it is removed upon logging in again. Please after everything else that hardcore and era servers have been through with the phase 4 SoD launch now being reverted (mostly the guild UI is still bad.) please just give us this one fix.
Hardcore is the best we have for classic with a fresh feel currently as there will always be people leveling again, gold being taken out of the economy through deaths (less inflation), and for many after playing it is the prefered and only way to enjoy WoW as every fight has much more meaning. Self Found takes this a step further and gives players the great feeling of getting a gear upgrade for a simple green item drop and adds an extra layer of difficulty to reaching level 60. Let us be able to show off the achievement and more importantly, fix something that was previously Unbroken.

I Have the same issue
I hit 60 as a SF HC rogue last night and received the Unbroken SF Champion Buff! But likewise, when logging back in today it is GONE!
I have a video record of the buff and leveling etc. and screen shots of the Champion buff missing the next day. Please note than I am Still SF, I did not remove or make any changes to my toon.
Someday I might want to remove the SF buff and my achievement would be the only way anyone would know what I went through.
Fix please!

Even though my only 60 is not self found I’ve seen many posts concerning this bug. I’m currently leveling multiple self found characters and hope to see this resolved before I hit max level.

It is not broken on my char.
That is very interesting news. I am glad you still have the buff. Now We just need to figure out why mine and others since the patch are having theirs disappear when they log.
What is the character name and Server? perhaps there is a difference.
Same server DP, but horde.
Sad, hit 60 2 days ago. Did not logout! My buff vanished two hours later randomly. 100 of hours SF just for my buff to be gone in two.

From what I can tell, every Self-Found character who hit 60 since the latest SoD patch (July 11, 2024) is affected by this bug. This includes two of my characters and about a dozen others I have spoken to on Skull Rock Horde.
The Soul of Iron buff shows “Unbroken Self-Found Champion” until you log out and then disappears forever, regardless whether the Self Found buff is turned off or not.
Self-Found characters who hit level 60 before July 11th do not have this issue. Their Soul of Iron buff has the updated flavor text. This flavor text is kept permanently, even if they turn Self-Found buff off.

I have spoken with several SFers as well and can confirm that anyone who dings 60 after the patch received the unbroken buff but then loses it almost immediately. However those who dinged before the patch have kept the unbroken buff.
Clearly this is Patch induced bug!
Fix ETA anyone?

Updating to say that this bug is still happening as my rogue still has SF applied but no longer has the Unbroken self found champion anymore. I guess I have to make an X account as that is the only way devs respond?

Same issue for me. Hit 60 on around 7/22 the icon was there, then wasn’t after logging in the next day.

I am currently experiencing this bug aswell got to 60 on my warrior like a chad on Self found mode want to raid so took buff off to buy flasks etc and I don’t have my legacy achievement either, this seriously needs to be corrected. Ingame tickets do literally nothing and bug support is quite PLESE FIX

My character is playing WoW Classic Hardcore in the Skull Rock server. My character is currently Lv 9 on this game mode as of this post.
I found that the “Soul of Ironman” and “Self-Found” icons were not displayed on the UI at the top of the screen.
I have not lost this character in this run and it should have the “Soul of Ironman” icon displayed. I tried to send mail to a random stranger and submit a bid in the auction house – I couldn’t execute these actions because of restrictions on my account from the “Self-Found” feature. However, despite the expectation for this to be displayed it was not found.
I believe these features are still active and running; unfortunately, they are not displayed to confirm it.
Thanks for any update provided here.
