Just saw on their Twitter from an hour ago: We’ve completed patching 1.15.5 to NA realms (EU is up next!), and although we’ve marked Classic Era and Season of Discovery realms live, we’re holding Hardcore realms down for just a bit longer, to ensure stability. We should have them back up soon.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet or not in this thread but the two hardcore servers were located in the classic era tab this afternoon when they were doing maintenance, and everything was greyed out. Then the third tab, which used to be hardcore, turned into the anniversary tab.
Not that this answers any of the questions in this thread but it might be relevant information.

I hope Bliz gets the HC servers working soon. I played several other realms today, classic and retail. The classic realms are without any indicators for where quests and enemies are. That makes it hard to know where to go to complete quests. No addons are working.
