Blizzard just released self-found in hardcore.

Test your skills in vanilla Azeroth hardcore - you versus the world!

Rules:

Players can choose to take on this new mode of play beginning at level 1 by selecting the option at character creation. While in this mode, players will be restricted from sending or receiving mail from other players, buying, or selling on the Auction House, or trading in any way (including giving or receiving items or enchantments.) While Self-Found mode is activated, you’ll see a new buff applied to your character. Characters with Self-Found mode on will also show a small icon in the character selection screen.

It seems a lot of players are rolling on Skull Rock server for SF HC!

It might happen, but the game-mode is mostly to promote a personal challenge, so they are only cheating themselves.

After those DDoS attacks the other day, I’d have a hard time convincing myself to play Hardcore again lol.

It’s definitely fun, but the prospect of losing everything due to Blizzard’s own servers is something I’m not sure I’m comfortable with.

Also their hands-off approach, they’d 100% say it’s your own fault if your character died during a DDoS attack on their servers.

I saw no option at character creation to make a self found character. How do I do this?
