I know the common belief is that casual players caused WoW to become dumbed down. I think the truth is Blizzard originally crafted this great, time consuming world back in 2004 during launch that could be enjoyed by casuals. They wouldn’t make as much progress but they always had something to do; no minute was wasted when they played.
Hardcore players on the other hand, with their unhealthy playing habits and electronic dopamine addiction would rush through content and demand more. The game, no matter how much existed, was never enough. 3 months between major content patches was far too long because they finished all content in a week playing 20 hours a day.
In summary, hardcore players are going to max everything out and eventually start calling for TBC patches. And we will once again be without Classic.

I mean, many of the things Blizzard did for casual players did ruin the game to a lot of the people who want Classic, so…

TBC when? I only signed the petition for classic because I view it as a stepping stone to getting TBC.

You really needed to edit that lol
You know what the great news is?
Most of us don’t care what the top 10 guilds playing WoW want.
I remember but am too lazy to look up this really emo post from some top 1% guild in BC whinging about having nothing to do but farm Illidan and Archimonde for months. These guys were threatening to quit the game if they didn’t have content ASAP.
Doesn’t it suck to be them. The rest of us are having fun raiding what we can and taking pleasure in what new bosses we can get down.

Hardcore players, and casual players alike have always played the game differently and ruined it.
TBH I would prefer if Blizzard just built the game how they wanted it to be played - rather than trying to pander to different fan bases, that’s what got BFA to where it is now.

Nope. Got an auto message that the system removed the quote. Apparently you cannot quote the website you posted so expect an account silence incoming?

Nah, it’s just a new system change, apparently. If you both reply and quote the full post, the system automatically edits your post to remove the quote, because it thinks it’s redundant.
(Even though it clearly is not to anyone who uses this as a forum.)
edit: It’s also somewhat inconsistent and buggy, as you may have noticed.

Weird, it let me quote it this time.
What happened is if you quote the post from the most recent reply entirely the system removes the quote now.
Its happened to me a good dozen times.
Older posts can be quoted though.

Hey buddy, what do you think of this gem of a thread?
Vanilla or Classic WoW accommodates all play styles. There is no right or wrong way to play it. All types are needed to produce a healthy server. Your economy tanks a bit if their isnt those “hardcore” players buying your mats for twink PvP, raiding or leveling their prof’s or an alts prof’s. It isn’t Us vs Them and that mindset has been overplayed and really needs to go away forever.

Who cares. Classic phases will most likely be released over the course of ~2yrs similar to how retail vanilla was. Even if they did decide to release TBC, and force existing Classic servers to progress to TBC, it would be 2+ years after Classic launches.
I don’t think Blizzard will even consider TBC servers unless Classic turns out to be very successful. Even if they do release TBC servers, It is unlikely they would stop hosting Classic servers.
