Hardcore is Insanity

Insanity - Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

About to start my 30th HC toon =/

What level are you dying at or is it that you just enjoy leveling. If it’s the later than it really isn’t any more insane than listening to the same song or some other form of entertainment.

If you are dying than we would have to know to what, and at what level to tailor advice to you.

It’s not insanity if you’re doing it differently. learn and adapt.

I’ve only lost one hardcore character ever and it was due to a D/C. I don’t know what to tell you. Get better? It’s extremely difficult to actually die if you play it safe - only kill mobs below your level, never enter caves or hyperspawn areas, don’t do dungeons etc etc. Most people die to the same few things. Don’t do those things if you’re struggling.

One of my favorite parts of HC are the dungeons, so I do every one I can. But it is admittedly risky. If you’re on your THIRTIETH death? Brother, play safer. You’re clearly not ready to do the riskier things.

I love tanking and healing. My first official death was gnomer.

Lesson i learned is dont stick around if you dont feel comfortable. Ignorant, selfish players will get you killed.

Other than that, you have to ignore certain quest. You cant do them all like softcore. Hard because i have level so many times that i had a set route, but in hardcore you gotta take a new approach.

Its a really fresh take on classic wow and i am really enjoying it.

yeah, people misuse the definition of insanity a lot.

I’ve been saying this since D2 HC, HC is a literal ‘character building’ game. You learn how to deal with invested loss and you learn how to overcome previous barriers.

HC self found is insane fun , on my 4th attempt now, level 44 is my highest so far, died in a cave last time, not going in caves anymore :vulcan_salute: :alien:

So essentially don’t play the game. Please post on your highest level HC character please. So we all can see how good you are seeing as to how you like to tell others to “get better”

This is some of the best advice.

Outside of my own mistakes, the only times I have come close to dying is with bad groups, and I knew it almost immediately, usually its multiple people wanting to tank/pull, and nobody willing to heal, and then not taking the time at the beginning to clarify who is doing what before charging in.
