So… Hardcore is basically Ironman Challenge, many people are downloading the Hardcore addon for legit playthroughs and runs on Classic servers.
My question is, is there an addon or way to do it on Live servers? ie- Dragonflight. If not all good I can just follow the rules myself but always nice to have a legit addon way to do things.

If you go to achievements, there is a statistics tab which will show 0 deaths, and it will show this at level 70 if you successfully level without dying. I am not sure what other rules the hardcore challenge has.

lol @ Cormagus ngl I agree with you, at max level when doing trivial easy content like WBs, Rares, hell even questing I see people die and I am like wtf wrong with this guy… Hell most Mythic dungeons and Heroic+ Raiding I am like how the hell the DPS dying… Only way to actually die in live is a tank messes up a mechanic and boss goes wild but otherwise you should never die 
But yea I wanted to do Harcore on live to ease into when Hardcore servers actually get released.
Yeah, we really need an addon that everyone is forced to use, that keeps you from grouping up, repeating dungeons, trading with other players, or use the AH.
Only if you’re really and truly terrible at the game.

Yea I don’t know what a hardcore retail would look like either. Naked run? Who knows. The mobs in Vanilla are absurd at times. Not to mention you don’t have five different mobility skills or ten types of CC or self healing.
The necessity of things like first aid, some professions like engineering or alchemy, and really understanding some details of combat are important.
The people dying to the silliest things I’ve seen is something else.

you can appeal every death by just blaming the heals!

To add a bit of a challenge to retail, do it with only a weapon equipped.
If they do implement “hardcore” servers, I hope they disable tickets on them.
The last thing we need is customer service spending all their time fielding “I died because I lagged” tickets from the “hardcore” server.

The ruleset is;
The addon will help by disabling actions, such as blocking the AH and mailbox; in cases where actions cannot be blocked it will pop a fail for breaking rules.
How do you even die on retail? I can’t even remember the last time I leveled and actually died. You’d really have to try hard like jumping off a cliff or something because mobs aren’t going to kill you.
Unless you’re talking about at max level doing raids then sure I can see your “interest”.
Nah, don’t care for addons regarding things like this. I want official support or it’s just worthless.
A few ppl from xpoff are doing this right now but with starter accounts for the extra difficulty.

Just require them to level naked, or only wearing the starting gear your character spawns with.
Leveling naked is slightly more challenging than doing it with gear equipped, but still pretty easy.
oh for sure! you know most of the classic andys won’t want to take accountability for a mistake…so yeah, biggest agree of my life 
Hyperspawns added at the start of classic. You carefully pull mobs one at a time, and suddenly 6 spawn on top of you.
